IWC IW3706.07 wrist watches news:
021113 028.jpg021113 029.jpg021113 030.jpg021113 031.jpg I recently got this watch box and it says rolex on the inside and I am trying to find out if its real or a fake. The box is approximately 8 inches long a greenish blue color. I says Rolex inside. I keep reading the boxes have a number but i do not see a number on this box does that mean it is a fake? Someone said a Oyster box but I am not sure. Thank you for any information or pointing me in the right direction about this box.
Hi,Does the Hamilton Below Zero look better in rubber or metal? By the way, I love this watch in the day time, but I can't see it at night. I hear everyone talkng about "black lume" but quite honestly, my eyes can't see it. In fact I can't even see the hands at all when I am in the car driving at night.
Actually, I was the one who got pummeled and the OM held up fine. We were at the beach in Ocean City MD. The surf was a bit high but nothing I haven't dealt with before. The undertow was strong which really builds the incoming waves quickly and they break with a vengeance. Yee-hoo! A body surfers delight....you would think. I was chest high, went to take a 6 footer in to the beach and it hit with such force it rolled me a few times. After bouncing off the bottom, scraping up my arm & shoulder, and getting a nose & earful of saltwater I looked down to see one shiny Seiko staring back up at me, as if to say "duuuuude! that was sooooo cool! let's do it again!" I've been selling off my 'beaters' since I didn't have anything quite as durable as the OM. Gotta love it - now I realize I don't need any other diver.
I just got my Grandmothers Cyma alarm back from a 3 month restoration.I had the movement restored, the case cleaned and polished, and the crystal replaced. I left the hands and dial (other than a slight cleaning) intact to keep a bit of the "history". Before. After with more detailed photos to come...So far it's keeping wonderful time and the alarm functions wonderfully. A little small for my wrist but I still intend to wear it.
Hello everyone here on TRF! If you've spent any time at all here in the Patek Forum you are well aware of how owners of the Aquanaut truly love this watch. Being the owner of the 5164 (Travel Time) I put myself in that category as well. Much has already been said about the versatility of this model, so I won't presume to sing it's praises in that regard. But something interesting happened to me this weekend that gave me a whole new appreciation of the Aquanaut, so I thought I would share the story with all of you. This past Saturday night, the wife and I met up for dinner/drinks with a bunch of friends we haven't seen in a while. The evening was going great. The conversation was going and the drinks were flowing. Well, as the next round of cocktails arrived at the table, I could tell that our waiter was struggling. The tray used to bring the drinks to our table was off-balance and very unstable in his hands. One of the friends noticed the issue and tried to help by taking a cou
