Dievas Vortex Diver Watch
There is literally a long laundry list of positive points about this watch. I rarely do this, but I pasted below words directly from Dievas on this new Vortex watch because I think they did a good job at summing the watch up. A lot to like here. Not the most original watch around, but that is not Dievas' style. They prefer to pick and choose from popular themes and come up with nice mixtures. The Vortex is a combo between a dive and aviator watch. It also takes from certain popular German functional watches like Sinn. Actually the Vortex is all made in Germany, which is not the case for all Dievas watches.Seeing the Vortex watch I instantly want it. My New Boschett arrived yesterday!
Greetings Everyone...My new Boschett Reef Ranger ( Black, no cyclops ) arrived approximately 30 minutes after I got home from work! That was quick, ordered the watch on the 10th! The watch came in a wonderful package, even with screwdrivers to adjust the bracelett! Took me a little time to adjust it, but for a clutz like me.. thats pretty good!I have set the watch with the Atomic U.S. Time on the net, so far, 14 hours later, it is still right on the money! I do not expect it to be as accurate as my Citizen's, since it is mechanical, but will see. 'There is something about a mechanical watch, that does something for me, can't quite put my finger on it.The watch does seem to be built to last! Some questions about a automatic. I know you can wind them, do you folks who have automatics generally wind them up like every other day? This morning FedEx came by quite early. I was expecting two packages. One with my AP 15300 from DavidSW and the other one from the best Ribs in the U.S. straight fromRendezvous Ribs in Memphis,TN. I will be enjoying both on SuperBowl Sunday. My AP blue tappiserie will be the lucky charm so the NY Giants win the big game once again just like in 2008. Omega Seamaster 2254.50 + Panerai = Winder Recommendations?
Hello everyone, Been a while since Ive posted but I am looking to purchase a Panerai Luminor Marina new within the next month or two. It will join my small collection so far containing one other automatic, my 2254.50. My seamaster was serviced by Omega about a year ago and given a clean bill of health and ive been wearing it daily since I got it back. I have never had to let it rest for more than a few hours at a time.Enter my next purchase, I am wondering how to go about buying a good quality winder that can hold 2/3 watches for under $600. I dont want to cheap out on a winder and eventually ruin my movements to state the obvious.. I have been reading here about winders and stumbled across the Orbita watch winder website and used their resource to determine my 1120 calibre movement can be wound bi-directionally and take a maximum of 650 rotations per day. Where to find an old style "beads of rice" goldplate bracelet for 1960s Seamaster DV?
A family member who knows I have taken an interest in 1960s Omega Seamaster watches has given me his Seamaster De Ville (I think it is a 166.0020). Presently it has an after market bracelet.I would like to try to find as good of condition as possible OEM bracelet for it. Anyone have any idea where I might be able to find a good condition 1037 (the 9 row) beads of rice bracelet (gold plated)?I have looked at a few that are described as very good condition on eBay and most look really terrible. As a result I am hoping to find a source for this other than taking my chances on eBay.
