Baume & Mercier 8681 wrist watches news:
Seems as though a few times a week I am informed about a new pilot watch. Brands like to talk about how this feature helps pilots with this, and how aviators love that. Apparently someone uses a slide-rule bezel, and being able to see 12 timezones at once is useful. Without knowing what people who fly actually use and need, it is hard for me to discuss these pieces on a level above being a watch nerd. It is for that reason that I am happy to have finally got a taste for flight, and what aviator watches are trying to do, and trying to emulate.I am far from a pilot, but I did get a chance to finally do something in the sky. Tutima graciously invited me to check out their airfield near Salinas California. I call it the "secret Tutima air base" because until now I'd never heard of it - and neither would anyone else who didn't happen to be in King City or was in the business of flying. The place isn't just a small airport, but home of a very special school called the Tutima Academy of Aviati
I was fortunate to fulfil one of my desires "to Pilot a Plane"and had my first flying lesson today and of course I "Timed" it with my TOG My "Flying Instructor" Dominic was a true Gentlemen ...and we found something else in common ...~ Cockpit~ Kent and London in the Distance~ River Thames~ I will Cherish this~ few more Pictures over in the Community Forum
Hey GuysSurvey time. Some of you may be avid users of winders. I'm not of that fraternity I'm afraid and have always kept my watches in their boxes. As I usually only ever wear one watch at a time I suppose a winder might have served me well in my " auto only " days but I always preferred to put my money towards a watch than a box that wound watches. My trusty watch box for night use for over a year now has been the familiar red Omega travel case. It's not robust by any means. It's definitely not indestructible but the foam inserts ascertain that my watch is kept scratch-free and safely tucked away in the night. And of course, its' size and dimensions allow easy storage and positioning. By the latter, I mean it permits me to store my Speedy Pro crown up or down, dial up or down indeed too.How about you pals? What do you use?Talk soon pals and y'all be well nowZIN
A not to common AT with gold hands and indices introduced in 2012 on a brown strap. Thought I would throw it in a bracelet!
