- I bought this as the secret Santa for a co-worker who loves to collect watches. She really liked it. The watch was very pretty, and of good quality. No one would guess I paid so little.

Hi I am interested in purchasing a ventura quartz for myself after I recently received a khaki king II for graduation. I am wondering what the difference between H24451731 (50th Anniversary Model) vs the H24411732 model? I am wondering if it is just a limited edition watch (50th anniversary) or if there are any size differences.H24451731 Specs:Maker article number H24451731Movement QuartzColor A clockface: BlackA case: SilverA belt: BlackMaterial Stainless steel, black co-leather, sapphire glassWaterproofing Everyday life waterproofingSize Face diameter side approximately 32mm (Lew's is excluded)Thickness approximately 10mm, approximately 50 g in weight,Belt approximately 16mm in width - approximately 17mmArm circumference approximately 14.5cm - approximately 18.5cmH24411732 Specs:Maker article numberH24411732MovementQuartzColorA clockface: BlackA case: SilverA belt: BlackMaterialStainless steel, leather, mineral glassWaterproofingEveryday life waterproofingSizeFace diameter side appro
Just purchased a really nice wristwatch(mens) in an 18k yellow gold case. However the name on the movement is Patek Gervaux. I have found no info about this watch. The guy who fixes up my watches said he never heard of the maker, but it was a high quality movement.Any help is appreciated!! Thanks! Will
I made a post about my Raymond Weil with a ETA 2892-2, whether I should rescase the watch or get it replated. RW's are not hugely popular.I have noticed a lot of other companies use this movement also in their watches, is it just as simple as having the rotor changed to say for example to an Omega or Breitling rotor, or are all ETA 2892-2's not created equal ? Obviously the idea being to pick up a messed up Omega or other brand and adding my movement to create a more desirable watch.Maybe what I am suggesting is sacrilege and sounds cannibalistic or not even possible, so please allow for my lack of knowledge in your answer.
I had a bit of a rant in the Longines forum about a Grand Vitesse that is on sale at 40% off - it's a great deal on a great watch, but I'm passing on it as I need to save more money for the big trip in October where hopefully I will come back with a new watch....(as evidenced by my earlier thread in the GDF about suggestions for a new watch).Well, glutton for punishment that I am, I couldn't resist going back to the store today, only to find they are also discounting TAGs as well - up to 40% on some models (a really nice auto Aquaracer - the one that Dennis likes the bezel). Unfortuately the Carrera is only 25% off, so I'm not tortured by walking away from it, but man, there were some nice TAGs at good discounts .The sales assistant revealed in the conversation that they are clearing out their TAGs and replacing them with a new brand "equal or better than TAG" but didn't know, or wouldn't say, what that brand will be.very mysterious. This leads me to wonder if this is part of TAGs strat
What are your thoughts on the 512 vs 620 vs 574? Pros & Cons of each? TIA!
