Baume & Mercier M0A08777 wrist watches news:
I owed pics of this guy for about two months, waiting to buy a DSLR, but no DSLR soon , so here it is, just from a P&S (Canon SD 1000 IS)
I picked up an old "GAMMA" watch today at an estate sale. Unusually, it seems to have an all-stainless case with a screw-in back. The crystal, of course, is acrylic. The dial says "Gamma" and "17 jewels - shock protected" and "Swiss Movt". The back has no markings at all. The case is 35mm diameter (not counting lugs or crown). The crown is unmarked. I've Googled & eBay'd for this name and found absolutely nothing. I don't have the right tool to remove the back - it has tiny flutes (ala Rolex) rather than notches. Has anyone seen such an animal before? Approximate age & worth? The movement is manual-wind, not automatic, but it does run. When I got it, the crystal was burned (cigarette?). I've buffed & polished out the burn marks, and it looks surprisingly good.If needed, I'll be happy to take & post some photos. Thanks - Boomzilla
How many of you have watches that you wear only at home in the evenings or at night? Here are the two that I put on when home in the evening and they stay on until the next morning. I rotate these two.The first is my Sterile Traser on a Milspec strap and the second is my Luminox on a Maratac 'caustic green' striped strap.
Hi guysI am actually using Brasso to polish the stainless steel around the bezel. But sometimes it touches the mineral glass of the watch. Will Brasso damage it?Oh and yes, I currently own a Hamilton GMT Air Race
I'm planning to get nautilus 5711 in the near future. I would like to have your suggestion whether it fits my 6 inches wrist.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1342409313.596501.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1342409336.890793.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1342409357.240017.jpg
