Baume & Mercier 5131 wrist watches news:
Hi there,I'm looking at buying myself a vintage Seamaster as a wear everyday watch, the ones I really like the look of are the ones from the 50s/60s, the more simple ones with no date on.I read all the Vintage Seamaster posts on here last night (took me a few hours! - quite fascinating, and made me even more interested in getting one!!) to get a bit more information - I've got to say some of the knowledge people have on here with Omegas is phenomenal - & hopefull you'll be able to help steer me in the right direction in choice of watch.I've got a couple of questions;1. Would there much difference between a 50s seamaster compared to a 60s seamaster in say terms of reliablity etc.?2. Would you go for a manaul or automatic movement?3. Which is the best calibre to go for?I looked at 3 watches in a Vintage Omega shop in London the other day, all look fairly similar and close to what I'm looking for, and i'm thinking about buying one of these threeThey were a SM Deville 1967, calibre 601
First off its great to join this forum! There is so much excellent information on this site. I am looking at getting my first "nice" watch since I just got out of college. I would primarily be wearing this watch for work in an office but would also like it to function as a semi-casual watch to wear out. The criteria that I have set for myself is >$500, dress watch, leather strap (preferably black) and I'm looking for something that is more classic in appearance. The three watches that I have found are:Hamilton Valiant Silver Dial Leather Strap Mens Watch H39515754hamilton.jpgVictorinox Swiss Army Alliance Black Dial Black Strap Mens Watch 241474victorinox.jpgTissot T-Lord Black Dial Automatic Black Leather Mens Watch T0595071605100tissot.jpgI would greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions of other similar watches if you had any in mind!Thanks-Ryan
Hi,Does anyone know how many bracelet links a new AP 15300ST has?I'm asking because I can buy a used 15300ST, but I'm not sure it still has all the links (and the current owner also doesn't know). I count 22 links on this watch (see picture), but I think a new watch has more??Fyi, my wrist is around 7.5inch so I fear it might not fit...Thanks in advance!
Could anyone recommend a trusted seller who buys and sells a lot of pre-owned Omegas? Thanks!Jacob
After going though many reviews and online search, my friend narrowed down to Omega Midsize Seamaster. His wrist is small, so this might be good for him. Does anyone have any experience with this model...? Whats the actual size difference? Any pros and cons are welcome? Thanks for your input.
