Baume & Mercier MOA10027 wrist watches news:
After flipping this M/3186 EXPII:for this TT GMTIIc:and being sorely disappointed.I undid the flip and two weeks ago traded the EXPII for this M/3186 GMT Master II:No ceramic bezel, no "almost invisible" green 24hr hand, and no PCLs. Just classic Rolex. And in a week or so his cousin will be added to the fold, another M.Fr. John?
[sarcasm] How did I miss this incredible bargain? [/sarcasm]cgi.ebay/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ht_4535wt_1167Yes, Longines prices are starting to creep up a bit when you combine the price of gold's rise with a small resurgence in the brand's popularity. But that is a ridiculously INSANE price for that watch!!! The saddest part is I think maybe it's a caliber 50x - not a true in-house Longines movement but a refinished Record caliber 1955 or 1958 depending on exactly which 50x it is. Longines had acquired Record in 1961 so technically it could be called one of their movements but it's not nearly as refined as the 34x or 35x series. Even if that watch DID have one of the higher end movements that's STILL a crazy asking price! Know what the best part is? "WE BELIEVE THIS WATCH MAY BE NEW-OLD-STOCK BUT NOT 100% SURE." Oh yeah, it's "MINTY" alright! Hey, at least the listing doesn't say "Just serviced!".
Hi all,My husband's watch winder has stopped working for no apparent reason. It's only a cheap one, a Time Tutelary KA80, which he's had for 18 months. The power adaptor appears to have no fuse which could have blown and we've done the whole unplug it, leave it for 5 minutes, plug it back in again thing. Nothing. Is there anything we could be doing to try to get it working? Is it common for them to only last such a short length of time?Any advice would be appreciated.
I think the GMT hand is too far off of the hour marker when the minute hand is straight up at the 12. How about you?015 (2).jpg
Sorta kinda looking for a Speedmaster, and the pricing on the 3570.50 is about my price point. Is the hesalite crystal really easy to polish out scratches? Ive always owned auto's. Reckon I can get used to manual windTim
