Baume & Mercier M0A08800 wrist watches news:
Gents, I'm new to the world of Rolex, but I'm thinking of buying one. I would like to buy a rolex without the cyclops. Just looking at one local AD I found an Explorer, a Submariner without date, a TT Daytona and a Sea-Dweller. Looking online the Explorer seems to be the most reasonably priced, but I read a review that was not very complimentary of the 3000 movement. I don't know if that is the movement in the new Explorer or if it has changed to the 3135 like the Explorer II. Can anyone offer suggestions or help in this area? Hal
Okay, I'm NO watch expert, but I was reading a listing on Ebay for a RR-grade pocket watch, and the seller offered to adjust the watch for best operation in the geographical location of the buyer. Surely regional variations in magnetic & gravitational fields shouldn't affect an otherwise well adjusted high quality movement, should they???Regards,Tim
Recently several of us purchased the 48mm Philip Admirale with the V7750. They were expected @ our homes by the 19th and then we received a letter from Mitch stating there was going to be a delay. A lot of people cancelled their orders and I thought long and hard but was convinced by another member not to. Well Philip stepped up, got the watches to the vendor and has picked up the tab for expeditied shipping for all buyers. Bravo and Kudos to a vendor that knows how to keep a client happy.I will not go into the Renato story about bad watch hands on a newer model belonging to a member( not me). I will not mention that the watch came back with painted hands rather than replaced ones. And the word China allegedlly was used as a location for repairs. That was jumped upon by a vendor as " the polishing cloth" was made in china. In the end, the vendor made good on the repairs and I suspect a certain TV host may have played a large part in that.
Hi guys. Any love for the Omega Chronostop? This one is my birth year watch (1969) and the only Omega I'm sure I'll never flip. Please show your Chronostop pics.
So if this has been asked before, apologies.I have the opportunity to purchase a less than a year old Rolex. The warrantee card is stamped by an authorised dealer in Portugal. I¡¯m in the UK.The card is not correctly completed, the purchaser¡¯s name is omitted and the date is not in the correct format.Do you think Rolex will honour the balance of the warrantee should I need to take advantage? Thanks in advance for any help.
