I was in a local pawn shop I frequent and the owner said, here's the deal of the day.... I've been looking for a water watch for when I go to SoCal and surf, board, boat, etc.... Any reason to believe this is not genuine? Is it worth it?
Hey guys,Stumbled across this add that got me interested.Ofcourse I will take it to patek for an authenticity check, but just based on pictures, is there anything that looks off?Just that it is a long drive, and I really don't want to be disappointed.It is a 2008 model, and never been serviced. Owner claims the watch is mint and barely been used, and functions with zero problems.I don't think the patek changed the movement or any of the physical characteristics between then and the current model; is that correct?Asking price is USD18,500.What do you guys think?

I've been in the preowned Rolex world for a few years now- started with a TT 80s DJ, built up two more, 14K 1503 Date, then really started things going by collecting Zenith Daytonas. All are gone now, but the other day I walked into my AD to see what was what, and there, placed nonchalantly on the display case while I tried on a WG Daytona oysterflex (more on that later), was a BLNR. I'm a sucker for rare things, from CDs to vehicles to watches, and seeing a HTF Rolex that sells online for higher than MSRP tickled me. It's not that I wanted to buy it and immediately resell, rather the knowledge that I could resell it and not lose any money. I never had a plan to buy new from an AD. I never had a plan to buy a GMT. But when I saw the BLNR, I couldn't stop looking at it. Certificate Card Invalid
Hi everyone, It has been about 1.5 years I bought my explorer ii V series 16570 from its first owner. So it has the name of the first owner written on it. Yesterday I wanted to find a way to get rid of that name on the card and write mine instead. Since it was written with permanent marker I thought it would be easy to delete it with acetone. But after a very little attempt it has been worn of and I saw it was typed invalid under the sticker. Then, I read on some forums that this is one way of protection Rolex does for not to transfer the warranty of the watch to second or later users..So, my question is, is the certificate invalid from now on? If yes, what can I do?Thanks everyone..
