- I waited until it went on sale before I ordered it. Like it so much that I may buy the other model. A very stiff watchband is a drawback.

Bell & Ross BR 03-94 wrist watches news:
Breguet's famous Type XX watches are among the first high-end timepieces that I fell in love with back in college. I couldn't afford one then, and I still don't have one today, but the dream of owning one of the Breguet "Type" aviator style watches remains strong. They come in a few varieties, such as the Type XX, Type XXI, and the newer (and sort of silly) Type XXII.50 years ago Breguet delivered to the French Naval Airforce 500 Type XX A¨¦ronavale watches made on special order. Actually, they were ordered in 1958, but it took Breguet 2 years to make all the pieces. The French Naval Air force (known as the A¨¦ronavale), wanted easy to ready flight watches with flyback chronograph functions. Still to this day, all Breguet Type XX watches have a flyback chronograph. The watch had a special engraving on the back which read: Breguet Marine Nationale Aeronautique Navale." According to Breguet, the watches were still being used in service by pilots until the early 1980s (and collector's love
Every time I come to this board, I see that great shot of the 2254.50 staring at me, beckoning me, pleading with me....."buy me," it keeps saying. Well I have surrendered to that picture. Tomorrow the UPS brown van will pull up and deliver a "previously loved" SMP 2254.50. I got a great deal on it (buyer claims it's only a couple months old) and am really looking forward to having what IMO is a classic Omega on my wrist. Pics will be posted, but from the ones I see here, it will be a challenge to do as well.

Dear All,due to too much work I have not taken part to many discussion lately but I did not get better from the watch sickness...I have had for many years a very flat golden plated quartz Longines. Now, this watch was given to me by a family friend and there is no way I would sell it but "flat, golden plated, quartz" more or less describe the exact opposite of the watches I like and so I tought that I might try to do a few reversible changes in order to make the piece at least bearable to me. I have not done this before as I tought that the family friend would not have appreciated this but now she passed away so I feel I won't hurt anyone. The first thing I would like to do is swapping the original golden face for a white one. I know the same model come with both options but I have not been able to find a place where to buy a spare deal. I even contacted Longines but they said this type is out of production. Can anyone point me to any place where I could look for such an item? The second
I was speaking with a friend about this today and he brought up some good points. Is the Pelagos a better choice for a daily wearer? Comparing the in house movement 25600TN to the 116610LN. Aside from being quite similar to the SubC, the Tudor has:-Better water resistance at 500m-Better power reserve at 70hr-Gas escape valve like that on the more expensive Sea Dweller-No cyclops which is a perk to a lot of peopleThe Rolex has:-Better finishing-Longer, 5 year warrantyOutside of these points, the watches are incredibly similar. Same purpose, well built, both have micro adjustable clasps, all in all great daily wearers. However, when you can buy a brand new Pelagos for $3500, but a brand new Rolex SubC date is $7500..........is it really worth a $4000 premium? Opinions?
