If there is one sub-sect of vintage watches that I believe is about to experience a renaissance of sorts, it's vintage Audemars Piguet. For years, I have admired the subtle elegance and incredible design found in early 20th century AP's. I believe them to be some of the most beautiful watches ever made, and based on our visit inside the vault of AP last summer, you guys agreed.There is simply so much to love in this category, and yet we simply don't hear much about it. Sure, there are way, way fewer vintage AP watches out there than any Patek, as we've mentioned, and that just makes them that much more appealing. This season, there are several fantastic vintage AP's coming up for sale, and because this manufacture is one of the few who has a publicly available historical expert, we thought it would be great to get brand historian Michael Friedman's own take on the vintage AP's coming up this weekend and next week in Geneva. I spent a while searching for this site. I bought a Seamaster Aqua Terra 39 mm in February 2005. I bought it from Jim Gianforte as recommended by John Holbrook, the proprietor of this establishment. The watch has been a faithful companion that I cherish, and has lived a rough life. It's been stopping off and on for the past month and has finally decided to stop.I searched this forum using "Omega Service" as the search string and got eighteen pages. I went through seven pages which got me to 2010. Seamaster 300 M GMT or Non-GMT?
Hi everyone,I recently got introduced to the world of fine watches and, well, I decided I want one. After browsing around, I really fell in love with two different Omega Seamaster models (2220.80.00 and 2535.80.00).I have tried both of these on. The GMT version is definitely thicker, but the non-GMT version has a slightly larger dial. A saleswoman had to endure a good five minutes of awkward silence, while I stared blankly at these two watches on my wrist trying to make up my mind. Honestly, I probably won't be diving at all in my future. I can't swim. I would probably react to diving into 6 feet of water like a Chihuahua reacts to getting a cold bath. I also don't think I will be roaming across different time zones too often, unless my cubicle can fly. Therefore, the function of these watches isn't a major factor for me.Given that information, I was wondering if I could get some of your thoughts on these two watches, purely from a cosmetic perspective? New to me Benrus
Well another Benrus incoming for my small Benrus collection. This one is Rose gold colour with a copper dial - 17j BB1 mov't = ETA 900 - 1945 to 1955? - the index hands look correct. Looks good but have to see when it arrives.Also picked up this box to keep it in (not correct original).

rolex 16610T-Green or Black-Need help!!!
Recently, I purchased a green Rolex Submariner 50th anniversary.I haven't seen the watch before purchase but the guy guaranteed me that it was original and I can still return it. I received it 4 days ago, It came without the original box but there was its certificate card. On the Card, the serial number of this watch is shown as 116610.Which is a submariner with black bezel. Then I decided to remove the wrist band and check it out by myself and I found out that there is 16610T written on it. When I googled this new serial number there are 2 types of this watch. One of them is with green bezel and the other one is black. How can I be sure if this watch is an original 50th anniversary green bezel or a changed one ? and the certificate it self creates more questions. I showed it a Rolex dealer and he told me that the watch is original but didn't say anything about the possible bezel change.
