Ulysse Nardin 278-70-8M wrist watches news:
On November 30, Zenith celebrated a famous caliber and the 100th birthday of the watchmaker who created it. Ephrem Jobin was the brains and hands behind Caliber 135. Introduced in 1948 at the height of a battle to achieve increased precision fought among several watch manufacturers, Caliber 135 included several innovative technical features that enabled it to win numerous prestigious awards and prizes, including an unprecedented 5 consecutive Neuchatel Observatory chronometry prizes from 1950 to 1954. In all, the movement garnered about 200 honors, two-thirds of which were first prizes. Ephrem Jobin with Zenith CEO Jean-Fr¨¦d¨¦ric Dufour and Zenith watchmakersBorn in 1909 and likely the world’s oldest living watchmaker, Ephrem Jobin played a variety of roles in Zenith’s development. During his tenure from 1939 to 1954, he developed three complete calibers, including the 135. In 1946 he was commissioned to invent a 30mm caliber capable of meeting the requirements for the Neuch
Yesterday I received a gift from my dad`s old patient (my dad is a dentist too)...Omega Seamaster, manual vintage model, white dial...but the dial is damaged probably from the water...Now I have 2 possibilities-to find another dial, caliber 601, which in my country is almost impossible..or as an option I`m considering a laser treatment, it means to change the color of the dial- I will probably choose dark blue or silver grey, and to write the omega and seamaster in the dial, as it is now...I will post some pics tomorrow...of the whole watch or after my ad removes the dial...and after treatment I will post pics for sure...The movement is fantastic, so is the case-back ad other part of the watch...some scratches on the glass, but It can be easy polished...Any suggestion is welcomed.here is a googled pic...my Omega is very similar, the case is also silver, and it has all the numbers, from 1 to 12. No date.
Hello,Calling all Hamilton experts!I am a watch collector in Madison WI and recently purcased a beautiful unrestored Hamilton Ericsson. How challenging is it to find the other watches from the Explorer Seriers? Thanks for your comments.
Does any of you with an AP Diver sport a 6,7 inch wrist? (Or there a-bouts)The Diver is one of the models I'm thinking of getting, but the Helsinki AD does not have a Diver, nor do they have one coming. So I'd love to see a picture of the watch on a wrist about the same size as mine. I'm a bit scared of the size... My 39mm ROC is perfect, but the diver is a bit bigger at 42mm, and getting it from one of the greys, just to notice it's too big would kill me!
I was having a look at prices on the Watches of Switzerland website https://.watches-of-switzerland.co.uk/brands/panerai and saw there's been an increase on those that I recognised. The 533 has gone from ?10,200 to ?10,800 and both the 312 and 359 have increased from ?5,600 to ?6,100. Whilst in the OP boutique here in Singapore yesterday, the prices were the same as when I bought my pair three months ago.
