Patek Philippe 193201 wrist watches news:
A few weeks ago I purchased my first Omega, a used SMP midsize. It came with a white outer box, an Omega red box, a red leather card holder, some booklets and an unsigned international warranty card. I'm not certain the box is correct for this watch. The medallion on the box lid is gold as is the word Omega embossed on the inside of the lid. The watch is in excellent condition, not so for the box. The finish is worn in many places. Even casual handling seems to easily mar the box and the leather card holder. Is this typical for an original box? The warranty card is blank it shows a hologram and the number 5340. Is there any significance to this number? Any information would be appreciated.Thank you.
Here is my current predicament. I've been a watch fan all my life, though at 23, we can't exactly call that an inordinate amount of time. My current watch collection is as followsSuunto Vector MilitarySuunto Ambit prototype watchSuunto VentusSuunto TerraTissot SomethingSomething (black chronograph with yellow second hand.)1970 Cartier Tank, rectangle shape1950 ish Omega, model unknown, round with champagne dial. Those are my watches worth anything. I have plenty others, Fossile, Vestal, Timex etc etc. But these are the only ones worth over 500 as singles. I inherited the 2 antique pieces, and both are too small for my wrists, so they just hang out in a safe-deposit box collecting value. So I want a real "long life" watch that I can wear a few times a week without worrying it's going to shatter. How does everyone feel about the Planet Ocean series from Omega? The non-chrono versions are in the 4's, so not outrageous, and the 10 year service intervals are super nice. I've always liked Om
Beautiful 1960's Omega Seamaster Cosmic Restored Stainless Bracelet NO RESERVE! | eBayCan anyone let me have their thoughts on this ebay offering? From what ihave read it looks okay but I'm not an expertThanks
I am looking at getting my hands on a new watch in the next few months.Already have a Rolex Sea Dweller ( 2008, last of the non fatboys!). The watch is not a fashion purchase but in effect a memorial / personal reminder. Our father passed away recently and so my Sister and I intend to buy a watch each, She is after a Ladies Rolex, myself, and now the crux of the Post a Brietling ( maybe!!). Torn between the Navitimer and the Superocean Chrono . I know very little about Breitling, but I am after a Pilots watch. The Rolex covers my current career the Pilots watch an earlier life milestone. I know this will be a personal choice but any wise words regards depreciation , reliability etc . I love the leather strap but believe they fail more frequently than one would like and are silly money to replace !I do like the Rolex GMT bimetallic but is that just too similar to the SD ( I know , it's different but the Rolex gene is strong)Your thoughts?Any ideas as to what discounts UK AD's are doing?
Lets see some wrist pics!
