Bell and Ross BR123-HER-SRB wrist watches news:
In December, Omega and METAS, the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology, held a joint press conference in Geneva to announce a new collaboration. Starting in 2015, Omega watches that are badged “Master Co-Axial” will be officially certified by METAS, using a new testing system. But what does this mean for Omega, and for watch certification systems in general? Let’s take a look.At the December Press Conference, held at the Cit¨¦ du Temps in Geneva, Swatch Group CEO Nick Hayek was joined by Omega President Stephen Urquhart and Christian Bock, the director of METAS, to discuss the new system. The new certification represents a higher standard of accuracy. Omega watches will now be certified for not just consistent timekeeping but also for antimagnetism and water resistance. METAS, which describes itself as “the federal centre of competence for all issues related to measurement and for measuring equipment and measuring procedures,” will become the impartial regul
Hi all, I’ve been a Rolex Lover forever, but I’ve flipped and sold so many that I’m tired of them now. Don’t get me wrong I love them but just fancy something different so I cleared my collection (partially) and am making room for an AP ROO 26470ST.OO. I wanted to get opinions of owning such a watch vs a Rolex Daytona or sport Rolex by an AP vet who can comment on fit, finish, feel, reliability, value etc. are they expensive to service and can dings and scartches be easily polished out?If anyone can chime in would really appreciate it! What’s a good price to pay for an AP elephant ROO? Are they easy to sell vs a Rolex and do they go up in price like Rolex do?Thanks in advance to all that chime in. Just a WIS trying to change up the collection! Also does the series of the watch and year of watch effect price?Best to all and happy hunting!MWAS
Hi,Just introducing my self.I have a passion for AP timepieces, hope to get some inspiration here.Husky boy
I'm thinking about adding a dress watch to the collection. My current favorites are the 5170r (silvery dial) and the 5227r. I know they are different and at different price points, but they seem comparable. For those that own either (or have opinions about either), what are your pluses and minuses? My current collection includes a Platona, 5712r, 5726/1A, Jumbo and a few other Rolexes. .patek/en/mens-watches...ions/5170R-001.patek/en/mens-watches...rava/5227R-001
Was at Shreve in SF today. Lots of PM (including WG Pepsi) but only SS sport models they have in stock are a white dialed Milgauss, white Explorer II, and black Explorer. Not taking any more orders on BLNR or LN. 30 deep wait-list on SS Pepsi, and they expect to get one or two this year. Also should note that they were very friendly with zero attitude which is always appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
