Bond's 50th Anniversary watch
I was looking online to see what Omega was doing for 007's 50th, and I am surprised to say not much. I see they do have a "limited" edition, 11007 pieces available, watch, that does have 007 across the face, and a very cool caseback (which is nearly always hidden); but, one thing that caught me by surprise was the $6800 price tag? Is this accurate? For similar Seamasters, why not spend $3000 less? I just can't seem to justify spending that kind of money for the watch, and am thinking of getting somethinge else (IWC). Does anyone think it is worth it? And yes, I realize it is all about the person and their opinion. Disclaimer, I only own one Omega watch that was given to me, so I am not even close to being familiar with the brand.

Long time lurker. Fist time poster. I was in a work mtg and the AD at Tourneau called my wife. She texted me.... first line said OMG. I��m like crap, probably something I gotta take care of. Then she said there��s a sub for u, do u want it if so,... u need to go now to pay for it. Said first come first serve. :).Looked down at my DJ41. :), Waiting for the meeting to be over. 5 mins left, 4 mins the 3. ....time to go!!! Hightailed 10+ blocks to 57th ave location. Waited for 30 mins outside...since I was there pre-store opening. Looking like an idiot in the rain. Once they opened beeline to Rolex counter... sales person working said no idea what I was talking about and that there are no subs around. Told them that their boss told me it was there.
