Blancpain 6102-4628-95 wrist watches news:
Since yesterday was the 4th, we figured today would be a good day to briefly talk about an American brand that once was. A brand that, though one of the original American wristwatch companies, is not often talked about: Gruen. Unlike Hamilton, Bulova, Elgin, Waltham, etc¡ they simply are not as popular or sought after. Gruen produced tons of watches in the 70+ years they were around, some of which are well known and renowned, such as the Curvex and Techni-Quadron models, but generally speaking they are not very collectable and information on specific models is sparse. A quick browse on Ebay and you will find that they rarely break $300, though on more curated vintage sites, such as watchestobuy, you will find some approaching $2,000.1940’s Gruen Curvex Bat Wing – image by watchestobuyThe history of the brand is very interesting and for a detailed look I recommend reading this thoroughly researched on-line book by Paul Schlisser. Mr. Schlisser breaks down the story of Gruen

Thinking of adding a silver case Rad to compliment my ceramic 384. I want something sub $5k as more of an everyday watch. This 388 caught my eye and I may try and make a deal. Everything seems legit but I wanted to get some more eyeballs on it:, anyone want to talk me out of a second Radiomir? Want to go Rad instead of a Luminor since I already have a pretty robust strap collection.
HiI have never owned a gold Rolex and it's was always something i said I'd do one day... Promised one to myself for my 40th birthday (3 years away) but I'm thinking about doing it a bit earlierI'd need to trade a few of the ones I already own if I wanted to do it thoughI'd be trading the three listed in the title for a RG DD2 with black concentric or wave dialThis would leave me with Daytona C, AP Royal Oak Chrono, Pepsi GMT and Sub KermitWhat are your thoughts?
