Breguet 5140BB/12/9W6 wrist watches news:
Hello,I recently noticed that my speedy is ticking inconsistently. I have a habit of checking my speedy with my other atomic watch for accuracy. Recently, I noticed that my speedy may run 3 days without gaining a second and it can also gain more than 10 seconds just over night. Can someone explain this phenomenon to me? My understanding about the speedy is that consistency is what made this watch so popular, am I wrong? Thanks,
Forgive me if this is a dumb question or if it's been brought up previously. But then again, I am pretty dumb when it comes to watches specifically Rolex. On the winding stem of my Day-Date, under the Rolex Crown, there is 2 small dots. On my Yatchmaster, there is 3 small dots. Does that mean there is 2 "O" ring gaskets on the Day-Date stem and three "O" ring gaskets on the Yatchmaster stem. I can see one gasket on the Yatchmaster when I have it unscrewed, but I cannot see any "O" ring at all on the Day-Date. I guess the Day-Date has a gasket, I wonder why I cannot see it.ThanksRob
I wonder if you can identify this Hamilton watch, it¡¯s age, type, and give me some idea what it might be worth? It was among my father¡¯s things after he had passed away. As you can see, it is in an original Hamilton case and box and the label on the box says it was 747 Dewitt, but looking online at Hamilton watches, it does not match the only Dewitt model I could find. The bezel is about 22mm tall, by 21mm wide at the widest point, and 18mm wide at the top and bottom. The total length of the band is about 224mm from tip to tip. The band shows very little wear. The inside of the leather band still shows printing that says ¡°Champion¡± and ¡°Hand Finished Scandia Calf.¡± The band shows a bit of creasing from the buckle at the third and fourth holes. The ¡°crystal¡± shows no obvious scratches or defects of any kind. The back is quite smooth and clean. Some of the Gold numerals on the bezel show some sort of staining. The bezel is a brushed silver finish. The back says ¡°10k Gold Filled." The watc
