After a few years of revisions and model interpretations of its original watch, Swiss SevenFriday is about to release its second model collection with the M1 and M2 watches which are due for release next month in June of 2014.The M1 and M2 are, of course, similar to the original "P" series SevenFriday watches in regard to the same 47mm wide cushion-shaped case along with overall look and feel. The M1 and M2 watches also once again use Japanese Miyota mechanical movements, but different movements here which are modified to use discs rather than hands to indicate the time.According to SevenFriday the M1 watch dial design is inspired by turbines, while the M2 is inspired by "old power measuring tools such as ammeters or old radios." Help finding unconventional watch face/complication
A couple/few years ago an aquaintance showed me a watch where the numbers/face were not in sequence. I don't really know how to explain it but I'll try.Basically a normal watch face will have 12 at the top, 6 at the bottom and 3 on the right and 9 on the left, etc.This watch had the the numbers in a random order so not only were the numbers not in the right places, but they weren't even in sequential order. It made the watch extremely difficult to read and don't even try telling the time when you're drunk. It did make for very interesting WIS conversations. The hands would jump to the correct numbers to tell the correct time, but you had to concentrate to know what the time was. It was kind of a useless complication, but there must have been some extreme engineering to make it all work.I can't remember who made this watch and I lost contact with the aquaintance. Recently I came across Seamaster reduced Olympic version (Torino 2006) on Sears website. It is being sold for ~$2,200 by authentic watches.It did not say whether it was a new piece. Finding archived Rolex website
Does anyone know if it is possible to find archived versions of Rolex websites. I just thought it would be nice to nostalgically be able to look at the site for example from 2007, when I was first looking at my Sea-Dweller.
