Breguet 5817br/z2/rv0 wrist watches news:
As an watches-dealer guest, Hugh Taylor from Xupeswatches-dealer (a pre-owned watches and luxury goods dealer in the UK) once again interviews their in-house master watchmaker, Mickey Nolan, as they talk about the often mysterious and typically expensive world of watch service and repair. Oftentimes, the only "true" account of watch repair comes from the men and women who are actually fixing the watches. We attempt to clear up myths, explain the source of delays and costs, and offer a watchmaker's perspective of the watch service and repair process.A few weeks back, I read over the story that Rolex was bumping up its guarantees and service intervals. All new watches were to have five-year guarantees, and the recommended service interval had miraculously jumped from three years to a whopping ten. This must have come as a thunderbolt to their rivals, I thought, but how come such a hefty confidence boost? As far as I knew, Rolex hadn¡¯t made any drastic technical changes on the level of su

Hello,I tried on a 15450, 15202 and 15400 today and am stuck on which is the right size to opt for - though I think it should be between the 15450 and 15202 in my case.On the 15450, I felt that the dial looked small, whilst the case head seemed to fit well. May I ask if anyone knows the diameter of the 15450, 15202 and 15400 dials (as opposed to the 37mm, 39mm and 41mm of the cases) and how that compares with Rolex timepieces, such as the GMT-Master II, Day-Date 40 or others in the range, for example? Thanks
Some of you might have even been there! If so, sorry to have missed you. Last night I had the awesome privilege of joining fellow TRF friends myopiccoog and StuxNet for a collectors gathering in Philadelphia, sponsored by Govberg Jewelers. It was held in the Franklin Institute and we got to view some fantastic pieces on display.Apologies for the lousy camera phone pics as the lighting was a bit dim - good for romance perhaps but not so good for capturing fine details!Clockwise from top left we have:1. 5307P instantaneous perpetual calendar tourbillon with minute repeater. With 40 baguette diamonds (3.91 tcw) it's supposed to have a sound like no other. MSRP approx $850,000.2. 5131 World Time enamel dial in J and G. Much discussed here in TRF so not much detail necessary IMHO. 3. 5074P perpetual calendar minute repeater with cathedral gongs. MSRP approx $620,000.4. 5160R perpetual calendar with retrograde date. Lovely engravings on the case - not for everyone but impressive to behold in
