Tips for Attending Baselworld
Baselworld 2010 runs from March 18 to 25 and it’s open to the public. Admission is CHF 60.00 for a 1-day pass, or CHF 150.00 for an 8-day pass. The doors are open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and until 4 p.m. on March 25.If you¡¯re thinking of attending, here are some quick tips:The Fair is held at the Basel Exhibition Center, known locally as Messe Basel. Hall No. 1 is the main building where the big watch brands are located. Other buildings also house watch exhibitors ¨C check maps available at the Fair to find out who is where.Who won¡¯t be there: not all brands attend Baselworld. Many large brands show at the SIHH in Geneva in January, and SIHH is open only to the trade and invited guests.  We often see sports stars endorsing watch brands (as ambassadors), or specific models (within advertising). It's something a bit more on the rare side for a brand to create an edition in honor of a specific athlete - but that's exactly what Milus has done.The athlete in question is the footballer Roberto Carlos (wiki), who retired from the sport just last year. Starting with their Zetios Chronograph, Milus has incorporated, in a subtle manner, the colors of the Brazilian flag. And it's a welcome bit of color, set as it is against a carbon fiber dial and 45mm DLC-coated case.Set within the CF dial, you of course have the chronograph and small seconds subdials. The 30-minute chrono and small seconds registers are encircled in yellow, while the 12-hour register features a blue circle; all three sport color-matched hands. Need Help:Advice Longines Dolce Vita
My Girlfriend took her Longines Dolce Vita to have the battery replace. But the technician said it is not working even after the new battery and that it's broken and need to replace the circulating block damaged by battery leakage. Initial cost $100. I'm sort of suspicious as I never heard of a circulating block parts and I feel like the watch just needs cleaning. Can anyone comment?
