Delved into the world of Panerai
Hi guys...I've just bought my first Panerai (well, placed the order...for delivery 3rd week of September) on a PAM 00297. I looked at the 1950's flyback PAM 00212, but it was a bit out of my budget, plus I've been eyeing up the 297 for a while.What are your opinions on this model, do you think I made a good choice? I'm new to luxury watches, and it's a bug I'm afraid might take me over :D. I'm already hovering around a couple of Grahams too.

This one is part of the second serial, the first one was made under the broadarrow label with a Poljot 3133 movement.Since Eddie can no more use the Broadarrow label so he use his own label Precista. The ST-19 is a column wheel chronograph movement its origin comes from the Swiss Venus 175, it's more or less the Chinese counterpart of the Russian Poljot 3133. The PRS-5 case has a 41mm diameter with a 31mm visible dial. Thereby the watch is not huge and easy to wear. The watch is discret, has a simple and efficient look due to its military heritage. panda + pam for a FC44...makes sense ???
I have an opportunity to acquire a FC 44, however this would require me to sell off my recently reacquired Panda and also a Panerai 88 plus possibly kick in a few dollars (not a significant amount). I have owned numerous AP's including both the steel 44 and the RG 44 at certain points in my watch journeys but moved both pieces for similar but diffrent reasons. The steel was lovely but was heavy, gave me trouble and simply did not work well, the gold was awesome but attracted a lot of attention and I simply wasn't comfortable wearing the piece and I traded down to a brand new RG ROC which I love and am keeping. I'm thinking the FC 44 would be easy to wear due to the weight (I had a Bee at one point so am familiar with the FC feel) and would make a nice complement to the RG ROC that I have. I would miss the Panda as it has a great wrist presence especially on the F1 strap I have with it and the bracelet which it came on. The Panerai is a good daily wearer for me I and enjoy the flex

PAM372 on 6" wrist
I really love the PAM372 (and 127 for that matter) but I'm not sure I can pull off a 47mm watch. I have a 6 wrist so I'll definitely need an XS strap. Does anyone here have a 6 wrist and a 47mm PAM? If so, can you post some pictures? The only watch I have now is my DJII 116300 which, I believe, is 41mm. I can't imagine what a 47mm would look like.
