Breitling L18841 wrist watches news:
I recently purchased my first Patek, a Calatrava 5127J, at the official boutique in Tokyo (late April 2013). Upon delivery, I was rather surprised to find that the movement was the 315/290, rather than the 324 SC. The dealer said he had taken delivery of the watch only last year (2012), so it hadn't been in stock that long. However, so far as I can tell, production of the 315 caliber was phased out as long ago as 2008, and the 324 SC was being installed in many Patek models from around 2005-6. Does that mean the watch I purchased could well have been manufactured six or seven years ago? Incidentally, it also has the Geneva seal on the movement, rather than the Patek Philippe seal, which I think is another indication of its age? While I'm sure the movement is perfectly satisfactory, I'm a little annoyed it isn't the 324 SC, which looks like it contains many improvements over its predecessor (faster, more accurate, smoother second hand, etc.). Any thoughts? Thanks!!
You guys around here are causing my wallet to flatten out!!!!The big brown truck arrived yesterday with a 1950 10K filled Lambert. It's gorgeous with a restored dial, new crystal etc. It came with a wine colored croc strap which is too short, I have a 7.5 inch wrist. So, off I went to my jeweler seeking a new band. You guessed it, he says, "I have something here you may like." So, he produces a really large square 10K gold filled Hamilton Auto from the late 50's to early 60's (I think). It's really large for a Hammie. I'd estimate it to be about 38MM, with numbers at 12,2, 4,6,8, and 10. Stick markers for the others. Sweep second hand, and a gold dial. Plastic crystal. I've never seen a Hamilton with this large a case. So, I traded him a brand new still in the wrapper Omega Speedmaster band which I paid $125.00 for a few months ago. Bought it for my MKII, but prefer the rubber diver band on it. I saw a couple of Speedies in his shop with the wrong bands...So, we did an even swap. The w
Having holiday in BKK with my family. Found some nice straps in MBK for my new Pam. Did not manage to see any nice straps for AP though. I was actually looking for a strap for my 44mm ROO SS. Something which looks similar to the carbon Fiber strap with red stitching from AP Bands. Anyone know of any shops in BKK which have good selection of straps for AP?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hi all,I recently purchased a ROO Diver Ceramic (Black with Orange markers). I have worn it daily for the past month and over the past two weeks, I have been observing the accuracy of the watch using my iphone clock as a reference and noticed two things that seem a bit odd to me.Firstly, the alignment of the minute and second hands.I have noticed that the second hand and the minute hand do not necessarily line up at different times of the day. (i.e. the second hand at the 12 o'clock position when the minute hand is at the minute markers). Some times, they would be aligned perfectly and at other times they can be off by as much as half a minute (i.e. the minute hand is directly in between two minute markers but the second hand is at the 12 o'clock position). The second hand is also about 10 seconds slower over the same time period. However, I do not think that the second hand being off by only 10 seconds is a big issue.Second, and what I believe is the bigger issue is the accuracy and co
Have they raised the prices across the board and not just the 5711 and 5712? The prices of the 5726 on the internet seemed to have jumped so I was curious if everything jumped?
