Breitling B1335653/A572 wrist watches news:
For really fixated Rolex lovers, this is great news, 300 rare vintage Rolex wristwatches will be auctioned when Antiquorum sells off the coast of "The Mondani Collection of ROLEX wristwatches." The auction will be in two parts on 1 April and 13 may, 2006in Geneva at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel du Rhone.
This will probably be my first and only request for help here, so all input appreciated. I'm not averse to doing my own searches/research, I'm just not sure what I have here. This watch was new around 1985-1990, and I believe came from JCPenneys in the $200 price range at the time. I don't have the tools to open it up (is the serial/model number on the caseback not the same as the one that might be inside?) Marked "422331" and "7N43-8119" (I'm the only one who's ever had this watch so I know it's the original caseback). There are two small markings on the back, too small to photograph, that read "S1001[small square symbol]I" (or perhaps "I[symbol]1001S").Condition is fair/OK, normal wear/scratches but no gouges. It ran fine last I knew, needs a battery but was wondering if the watch is worth even that much investment. I'm unemployed and craigslist has been my friend, just hoping for a ballpark valuation for a quick but fair local sale. Thanks, WTF.-Peter
My current collection is patek 5146p , patek 5726/1A-001 , patek 5712/1A-001,Patek 5164A-001 , rolex submariner 1166610LNi need some advise , as I am thinking of adding the 5711/1A 010 ( blue dial ) , despite having the 5712/1a , does this make sense , having both the 5712 & the 5711 .. , your thoughts please
I have a 16610 (D serial) that i purchased new about 12 years ago. I also have a 16710 (also D serial) that i purchased second-hand. Per the warranty papers it was originally purchased about 3 months after i bought my sub.The actual serial numbers of the 2 watches differ by about 18,500. I'm just curious about this but am trying to figure out how close the production dates of these 2 watches might be. Any sense of production numbers in 2005/2006? in advance
Just popped in to see when my new 114060 might get here and they have a 116710 LN in stock as well as an Explorer II (White dial) in the window. With the steel sports shortage going on, hope this helps someone if you've been searching for either model!
