Breitling B71356 wrist watches news:
When it comes to watches, especially mechanical watches, there is no denying that they are incredibly complex miniature machines. Have you wondered how those watches are designed and validated before the first piece of metal is cut? This used to be entirely done by hand with drawings and slow prototyping. However, starting in the 1990s, the watch industry has moved toward using design and engineering software to create everything from cases to movements.SolidWorks is a software suite that many high-end watch makers rely on to design and test movements digitally. In a recent video we can see how a Franck Muller movement design can come together, such as the Giga Gong Tourbillon we're seeing in CAD.Frankly, after watching something like this, it seems almost indescribable that watchmakers were able to advance the craft as they did before the advent of tools like this. ?Of course, it probably involved a lot of trial and error, and fiddly modification of parts - in other words, quite a bit
Just curious?
I have been researching the options available for ¡°self sustaining watches¡±, mainly the mechanical automatic and also solar/kinetic quartz watches. I have a pretty good understanding now of the auto movements from Tag Heuer, Longines, Omega, Oris, Fortis, etc., but would like to get a better understanding of the players out there that offer solar or kinetic quartz watches. I know Casio has several brands including Oceanus and the G-Shock series, but honestly I don¡¯t like the negative stigma that comes along with a Casio, so that¡¯s out for me (yes, I¡¯m being a bit arrogant, but the way I see it is if I¡¯m spending upwards of $500+, I don¡¯t feel like explaining to someone why I bought a $500+ Casio!) I know Seiko has their kinetic and direct drive and Citizen their Eco-Drive solar, but what other players am I missing in this arena? Tag Heuer has there Calibre S series, which I believe is electro-mechanical similar to the Seiko Kinetics so no battery needs to be changed out? What othe
My local AD was unable to give a precise UK retail price for the new 42mm ceramic bezel Planet Ocean. He stated that until they receive it in early September they could not say. He did estimate it would retail at approximately ?4,000.Can anyone confirm the price and date it should be available in the UK?Also, once this new model is available will Omega stop producing the 2500 co-axial model which currently retails for ?2650?Thanks in advance.
AD told me Rolex does not allow upgrade from my diamond dial to MOP diamond dial on my Daytona 116503. Anyone can enlighten me why consumers preferred to wait for stainless steel when two tone is readily available. Is it because of price wise.
