Breguet 5207BA/12/9V6 wrist watches news:
Hi guys, I'm just wondering whether it would be a good idea to purchase my next watch while on holiday this year and if its likely that i'd get a better deal than buying in the UK.This is the holiday myself and the wife will be going on.We will stop in the following countries during our 2 week cruiseGibraltar, United KingdomBarcelona, Spain Villefranche (Nice), France Livorno (Florence/Pisa), ItalyCagliari, Sardinia, Italy Malaga, SpainLisbon, PortugalVigo, Spain I'm hoping that as we'll generally only be in each place for a day I may be able to barter a bit to get the price down.Anyone got any ideas on whether it would make sense to buy while in any of the above places or what sort of saving I could be looking at (if any)??

Dear TRF Friends...Please allow me to share this great story with you about my recent GTG in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Before I begin I would like to tell you how I meet Michael (ap_mike)... Michael and I meet on a watch forum about 5 1/2 years ago when we were both new to collecting watches. We then had the opportunity to meet in person at a big Rolex GTG in London 5 years ago where our friendship grew at a more personal level. Over the years as our passion for watches grew we consulted each other on different brands and watches we were persuing... From Omega to Rolex to AP and PP...So last week I had the opportunity to meet up with Michael as I was operating a flight into Colombo. We had a great time catching up and sharing our small watch collection with each other... Here are a few snaps from our GTG...This was my very first overnight stay in Colombo Sri Lanka... It's an absolutely beautiful country... I only wish I had a few more days to travel around!Over looking the Indian Ocean...
I have an Explorer 2 16750 with a 3186 Movement. The hour wheel click spring recently broke so that when I move the crown to the 2nd position, the hour hand moves smoothly instead of clicking from hour to hour. It also does not line up correctly with the minute hand. After researching the boards, I see that this is a common, known issue by Rolex. What should I expect to pay for RSC to fix the spring, given that this is a know manufacturing problem? I prefer not to send my watches to RSC as I don't want any polishing or dial/hand replacement. Finally, will a new replacement spring fix the problem or should I expect this to remain a weakness throughout the life of the watch?
