Yesterday in Monaco, the Only Watch 2013 auction was held and the results are in. The event is meant to raise money for a medical charity, to which 100% of the proceeds go. Each of the watches submitted are totally unique and donated by the participating brands. People get very interested in the results, as it is not only a sign of the economy when it comes to Monaco's wealthy elite (and others), but also the interest people have in specific brands and models. The total yield of Only Watch 2013 was 5,066,000 Euros (most of which is thanks to a single watch).For 2013 there were some major winners and losers. All the lots sold of course, with some going over estimate, and some under estimate. Most of the lots however sold within the estimated price, and those aren't covered in this article. I picked up a black Monster a while back for a song (had winding issues), with the intention of learning about what makes a watch tick. My plans were to bead blast the case and bracelet, replace the dial and hands, and fix or replace the 7S26 if necessary.After a few days of normal use, the movement appears sturdy enough for my purposes as-is - this would be an occasional wear piece for me, pulling yard work and fishing duty. I will leave the movement alone, at least as long as it's running and keeping acceptable time.So far, I've purchased a yellow dial and new hands, although I'm not sure how the dial will look with the stock chapter ring. Please review and give feedback regarding chapter ring options (there are not many out there for the Monster). Thinking about picking up a different dial and chapter ring. Anyone know of vendors other than Yobokies, OFrei, or 10watch?My biggest accomplishment to date was the completion of the bead blasting. Pics are before and after IMG_0681.jpgIMG

The Mystery of the Breitling "B"
Hey Breitlingers! I just noticed today as I was drooling on my watch, an inscription of the Breitling B on the ratcheted bezel's side at 57 minutes. Do you guys have it too, or is it just me??

Have you check your crownguard?
It's not always so nice and clean like the rest of the watch.
