Breitling 785 wrist watches news:
Hello, I am sort of a newbie when it comes to timepieces , so I'm obviously not going to be versed in timepieces at all, so I figured I'd ask a forum that might have a clue as to whether or not it's worth it to have my late grandfather's Omega Seamaster legitimately fixed. The main issue is that the knob has become separated from the stem, which has been "repaired" using superglue (Whilst it was being used by my dad when I was too little to inherit my watch) .Here is the watch as it currently is: The knob is sitting in acetone to get rid of the superglue, and I'm occasionally applying acetone to the outer part of the stem to try and removed superglue from it as well.IMG_1729.JPGIMG_1731.JPGP1370189445-1-X.jpgDial with the knob superglued to the "stem" (My dad's idea of how to remedy the problem)Other issues:When the stem is pulled out, the seconds hand keeps on going. When trying to set the watch the hands occasionally get stuck (Especially the minute hand.) Fairly certain that bend han
Hi Everyone, i'm new to this forum and wanted to log on to ask some Q's about a AP Panda. I currently wear a Panerai Pam 312 & i'm looking to get a AP but i'm not sure if it'll fit me.So i tried on the AP Diver & the 44mm ROO (both with the rubber band) and they fit me good, however the panda is not a buckle strap so it fits very awkwardly. Does anyone know if i can change the band on it to make it a buckle type band? I know i can get the rubber band on the Diver to fit the Panda, but what if i want a leather band? Does AP sell any buckle leather bands that'll fit the Panda, and does anyone else with a small wrist have trouble with these no buckle bands? Thanks for the help in advance guys. Here are some photos of the watches on my wrist, i think the Diver looks the best (and i believe the diver and panda are the same size).
I bought a rebuilt Vintage Seamaster 300 (caliber 552) from a dealer in Lichtenstein. It's not a Watchco Seamaster but of the same type - constructed from genuine Omega service parts. The dealer advised me that it was made by a level 3 Omega service technician in Switzerland. His view is that Omega will service it but I am not so sure. I had mixed emotions buying this seeing as views on the Watchco Seamaster are mixed - most people love the look but there have been some concerns about quality and servicing down the line. Only time will tell how my one will behave. The dealer offers a 12 month warranty at least. One thing for sure - its beautiful and I love wearing it
Well I¡¯ve finally reached the top spot at my AD for the Daytona and he emailed me the other day and asked me which colour dial I¡¯d like.I used to own the non ceramic black version of the Daytona and struggled to read the time in poor light , I still think the black looks better but I¡¯m now being drawn to the white dial.Any thoughts guys ?
I was shopping around for my son that¡¯s seven weeks out of being born and of course i told my wife let¡¯s swing by the Rolex store and once we got to the store i spotted the yellow gold oysterflex Daytona. She immediately gave me the death stare as I tried it on and my goodness this watch is a beauty!! Blew my expectations away. The weight was amazing and the oysterflex is so comfy. I was extremely close of pulling the trigger but my wife¡¯s stare was well more than enough to tell me NO lol. This piece will soon be in my collection just need to warm the wife up to the idea haha.
