Blue lume question
Can anyone out there tell me which models now feature the blue lume? I was thinking about picking up an Explorer II this week. It's been in my AD's case for over a year though. If newer Explorers have the blue lume then I would ask my AD to order a newer one since his current inventory has green lume.ThanksSmokin

Bought new longines, but with defect.......
I bought an L4.274.4.52.6 as a gift to my wife in Hongkong 5 days ago, but i didn't find the defect of the "second hand" until I came back to Suzhou(mainland China). The "second hand" was a little curved......002.jpg001.jpgThe retailer told me to fly to Hongkong and they will repair it for me......Obivously I cannot accept repairing, but replacement of an new one. I contacted with the customer service in Shanghai as well as in Swiss, but their efficiency is very low......They told me to send the watch to their authorized service center, and there happened to be one locally, but they cannot help on this. They told me I had to send it to Shanghai and then the watch will be inspected. I did as they required, but I am afraid when they can really begin the process.I am waiting for the result.

My New AP Chrono!
Just received this Royal Oak Chrono, the Alinghi City of Sails from Tony G at JustRolexes. It was produced in 2003, one of 1250 made. It's 39mm, so a bit smaller than most of what AP is producing these days, and I like that it has kind of an offshore vibe but scaled down. Also, as you can tell from the position of the date, it has the 2385 movement, so is a relatively thin 11.5mm.I'm excited to have an AP in the rotation again -- I had a 15300 a while ago, but traded it in for my Nautilus. The AP fills a sporty but elegant role for me, more sporty than the Patek, but not as sporty as a Rolex.

AP ROO in 'The Mechanic'
In the 2011 flick, 'The Mechanic', starring Jason Statham, the opening sequence features a Gold ROO Chronograph with a black strap. It's a really nice watch but a little too BLING for me. However, given that this short lived character is a Colombian Drug Lord (with good taste), it somehow suits him.

SD4K Phasing Out?
I purchased an SD4K a few weeks back and was at my local AD again today. I noticed in the glass where the SD4K used to sit was still empty, so I asked if they had ordered another to take its place. The AD stated that Rolex said they are not sending out any more SD4K's till April (after Baselworld?) and that they are hard to find. He then mentioned that the SD4K 116600 is on its way to being a collectors item. Is this a possible hint at Rolex phasing out the 116600? Possibly fixing the lugs or coming out with a new model? Anyone else hear of this?
