Breitling for Bentley Celebrates 10 Years With 3 New In-House Chronographs
Ten years ago, Breitling launched its Breitling for Bentley watch collection on the heels of Bentley winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans race. To pay tribute to the first decade of collaboration between the Swiss watch brand and the British luxury carmaker, Breitling has launched the first three Breitling for Bentley watches equipped with Breitling manufacture movements.The new Breitling for Bentley timepieces are the Bentley B06, Bentley B04 GMT, and Bentley B05 Unitime. Each has a self-winding chronograph movement (based on the groundbreaking Breitling B01, the brand’s first-ever in-house movement) with a column wheel, vertical coupling clutch and a power reserve of more than 70 hours. Why some people adore PP watches and others could care less....or a peak inside of the soul of one hopeless Patek Philippe fan.I know that this is more-less a philosophical question, but I'm still curious as to what others think.What is such a big deal about Patek Philippe ??Often we hear:- timeless design- remarkable history and quality- brings premium at auctions - great looking, yet understated...only those who 'know' - 'know'- etc....On the other side we hear:1) - way too expensive (...for what could be sometime just a manual 'time only' watch)2) - too fragile....."I 'don’t want to 'worry' about my watch when I wear it"3) - their design is not my 'cup of tea'...looks like a watch my grandpa should wear.4) - "I am sick of the current market situation. I was at Jared on Monday paying my monthly payment. This Jared has a PreOwned counter. I had a 42.5 mm PO with a black bezel and black numbers and sold it a year and and 1/2 ago. I have a 16610 Submariner and it looked to close. Well I spied this 45mm Orange PO, $1899.99 PreOwned. I tried it on and it was one link short and the bezel was jacked up, it took vice grips practically to turn it, so I told the sales girl....no thanks. Then she says, I tell you what, I have a new one in the case over here, I'll give you that one for the same price and send this one to warranty to get fixed but I can only gove you a 1 year warranty with this new one. I bit for the new PO for $1899.99 plus tax and I love the 45mm PO and always had. The orange just pops, instantly recognizable IMO but I just wasn't gonna pay retail for a new one and I didnt have the cash to buy on here or on TimeZone.
