Breitling C3733012/G714 wrist watches news:
I own a lot of relatively less expensive watch brands... IWC, Panerai, Omega. I find that on my other watches when setting time, wherever I put the minute hand it stays there relative to the seconds hand once the crown is pushed in. However on my 44 RG Royal oak offshore (my first AP)... I have to set the minute hand about half a minute past the mark where I want it to end up (the manual even says to do this!)... seems crazy that for $45k watch there is so much play in the movement. I'm seriously looking at the 41 mm Royal Oak Chronograph also in RG as my next watch... do the other AP's also have this quirky movement?
I have a DJII (116300) and want to buy an AP to compliment it. I have a very tiny wrist, about 6.3, and I do not want the classic Royal Oak. I'm thinking about getting the new 2014 rubberclad. I think it is casual enough and different enough from the DJII that the two will compliment each other very well. Would I be able to get this with a shorter strap? When I was looking at watches, everything that came with a strap I needed to order with a short strap (IWC, JLC, etc.). Is the face of the ROO too big for my wrist even with the shorter strap?Does anyone know the approximate price on the new RC? Sellers on here are selling the older model for about $15,000. What should I expect for the new model? I called APNYC today to find out but couldn't get though. I'll stop by on Friday (probably) and try it on to see for myself. Pictures to come!
Hi,Just introducing my self.I have a passion for AP timepieces, hope to get some inspiration here.Husky boy
About 6 weeks ago, my beloved Omega X-33 NASA kevlar strap broke. It lived a good life, providing me with several years of faithful service. That meant I had to use the Speedy on a 6 years old 40 dollar strap that was carefully shaped to look like alligator. It was okay, but it too was showing the age and for something at that price point I just could not ask for any more years of service out of it.Long story short, I stopped by Bachendorf's on my way home and I bought a Hadley Roma Select Crocodile strap, 20/18 with white stitching. It was quite pricey but they made me a good deal on it so I got it around 40% off. It did not look much different from the cheap one I had for half a decade but once on the watch, it made all the difference and I think it looks great! One dilemma remains:Should I use it with the deployant that I stuck on it as soon as I got home and extend the life or should I use it with the OEM Omega buckle that I bought for the kevlar strap?
With 2017 winding down, where are MSRPs going next year? When demand is this high, prices usually rise.
