On tap are panorama date, day/night indication, and a stop-seconds feature with innovative minute detent. First Hamilton, want to show it off and get some info on it...
After months of reading about Hamiltons in various fora and increasing desire to own one, I finally found a terrific deal on a certain auction site and grabbed it. I love it. I tried to research it prior to purchase but found nothingultimately, the price was good enough that it didn't matter too much that it wasn't in the best condition or may be somewhat franken(e.g., no "H" logo on the crown). Ultimately, I love the watchI think the dial is among the most beautiful I've ever seen, and I've not been able to take it off since I got it (despite it having probably the cheapest band I've handleda condition soon to be remedied).It was described as a Boatswain model. I've attached pictures for reference. It's 10k RGP, 33mm across ex crown, 671 movement. The crystal appears to be acrylic and is cracked between 5:30 and 7. Could anyone provide me more information on it? For example, possible year of manufacture, if there are any unoriginal bits on it, if it was originally lumed, etc.?

Finally I got two quality watches, russian!
Well, I wanted a quality watch, and was thinking about a Forits, but I could not pay over $1000 for a timepiece. So I went Russian! I bought the 42mm first then wanted a more chunky, larger watch, I then purchased the 45mm Aviator. Here is a photo of my watches!Anyone get other Russian watches?? I love the 45mm, and am waiting for my brown Hirsch leather strap. I want to make the watch look more vintage!

While out this weekend, I tried on the 26574ST. It is a lovely watch with a readable and interesting complication and the steel version is, by some standard at least, not unreasonably priced.That being the case, I¡¯m surprised that there isn¡¯t a bit more hype around them or a more regular flow of incoming posts. I hadn¡¯t seen one before and would be interested in any thoughts on what reference this might beDigression #2:Completely unrelated to watches, but kind of fun - on the way home our ferry was dodging some of the several hundred boats participating in the annual Around the Island yacht race. My regrets at missing out on sailing in it this year were soothed by the pouring rain that had appeared throughout the day.
