Fortis "Cargo" Movie Limited Edition Spacematic & Spaceleader Watches
Heard of the science fiction movie Cargo? No? Neither did I until recently. It will be released soon and is a Swiss film. I didn't know they make sci-fi movies, but I will go with it. Check out the trailer here. We have seen this plot before. Can't say how good the movie will be based on the trailer so we will wait until it comes out soon. Nevertheless, Swiss Fortis will come out with two very cool watches in celebration of the movie. My favorite being the Fortis Cargo Limited Edition Spaceleader watch. A very cool timepiece with a sophisticated futuristic look and a nice Valjoux 7750 mechanical movement.To be fair, Fortis did not come up with all of the design themselves. You can see some borrowing from brands such as Xemex and Ventura, but you should really not care. The spacey looking asymmetrical case make for just watch the spaceship captain ordered. Another Re-dial Question ????
Ok, Found another unusal watch that is rather valuable, ( Warmans (2005) books it at $495 to $695).....and it runs just fine, my watch guy has been at it .....but to re-dial or not to re-dial that is the question.......sorry I wasn't paying attention to where the cursor was , but here's the movement the crystal has to be replaced it has those stress lines all around the bendy part of it.....the gold-filled case is in excellent condition ......scratches, but the only wear through is a teeny tiny bit on the very tip of the lugs.....I call it my "poor man's Thor"

Whoopee Cushions and Dubey & Schaldenbrand - HELP
OK, I'm still trying to find my next watch for under 2 grand. I'm finding that I think I am drawn to cushion shapes of sorts. Something different. Outside of a Reverso or a JD Grand Second, I really want a Franck Muller Conquestador - my grail. First, check this out:Another watch that I really like is the Dubey & Schaldenbrand. It might be possible to find a used one along these lines:So, you get the idea. I want to get this sort of vibe in a more affordable watch. Now, I've always been drawn to Cuervo y Sobrano:I like the 30s 'hour glass' look of this watch. There is something about the 'Havana' look that draws me in. I'm not sure why. I think I could find one of these used for what I want to pay.And then there is the 'homage' that I think looks fantastic - the FC 'Cohiba':Finally, I really like this German watch from the Temption company. Very high quality and value. Sapphire top and bottom. It is designed to be highly visible. This company even subdues its own logo

Splotches/Marks on inner rim of steel under crystal
Hi Everyone,I recently purchased a GMT Master II from a reputable dealer I've done business with in the past - full kit - boxes, papers, great condition - really an excellent example of the 16710 pepsi bezel. It's an A serial and was purchased in 2000.One thing I noticed on a closer insepction upon receiving the watch, were some faint splotchy marks on the steel rim of the case, under the crystal, around the dial...almost looks like something has dried on that rim (though zero marks on the dial itself, which is it's normal shiny self). I'm attaching a photo which makes it seem much worse than it actually is, as I took it to highlight the issue. I was originally concerned about this, but then I took a look at a mid 90s Sub that a friend of mine had, and he also had some light splotching around the 1 o'clock mark...not as much as mine but still had some. Does anyone have any insight into this? What could be the cause for this? The dealer I purchased from said they would be happy to
