- This was a gift for a picky husband who didn't want a flashy watch. The F&S watch is tough and classic enough for him to wear without worrying about breaking it.

Breitling A1736402/BA29 wrist watches news:
I recently came into ownership of this Patek Philippe watch, which after much online research, I believe is the 5053J model. However, after a recent servicing the model which Patek Philippe wrote it down as was "Gentleman Officer's Strap Watch". I am confused, because it looks exactly like the 5053J images which I found online. Could anyone help to identify it, perhaps even tell me the value of it?Attached are some photos below.patek 3.jpgpatek2.jpgpatek.jpgIMG_1298.jpg
Greetings EveryoneWell I stated in a previous thread that I was looking for a good cheap automatic for under $100. I kept reading through reviews on suggestions from the members here that replied as well as weighed carefully the options available to me.I ended up getting an Orient Mako in blue finish. I ordered it from a popular site (mystery gift bag ring a bell?) and actually received a %50 off deal! That is placed the Mako in my budget, it came out to only $95!!!Now comes the hardest part, the waiting for the mail, lol. Again thank you all for the wonderful suggestions and I never would have bought an Orient had it not been for the great reviews I read on it. I will post a picture once I receive the box.Cheers!

Meaning crisis? Investment crisis? Values crisis? Yet, it is on the contrary a tribute paid to the classic horologic culture: it is either an outright tribute, by buying rarities such as the Rochat brother¡¯s pistols; for example, the pair of pistols was auctioned for 5 million Dollars recently, in Asia.Alternatively, it is a bet on the future, when collectors put crazy amounts of money on a new Great complication; one could remember the Patek 3939, which was auctioned for 1.4 million Euros. The very high-end watchmaking purchases are those of technical concepts, the oldest being unique pieces for which fabrication secrets have been lost; we get close to the Art auctions, where the principle is to pu
Hey all, I'm considering purchasing a speedmaster (one of the newer 3570.50). Anyway, I notice on eBay a large representation of seemingly like new examples for the best prices. They are all from Japan. Is this something to worry about? Anyone know what the situation is with that? Should I steer clear? Thanks in advance for your advice!
