Breitling a1739102/ba77-1LT wrist watches news:
TAG Heuer has announced that it is doubling its mechanical-chronograph movement manufacturing capacity by building a new site in Chevenez, in the Swiss Canton of Jura, which will create 100 jobs and be operational by the end of 2013. The site will produce the in-house Caliber 1887 mechanical chronograph that was launched two years ago, plus a brand-new caliber that TAG Heuer is developing. Currently, all of TAG Heuer’s in-house movements are made by the company at its facility in La Chaux-de-Fonds and at Cortech in Cornol. TAG Heuer also buys Swiss mechanical movements from Sellita, ETA, Dubois-Depraz, Soprod and Zenith. The company cited the reduction in supply announced by ETA ¡ª supported by the Swiss Competition Committee COMCO, through its provisional measures ¡ª and the additional volumes needed to meet its growth targets as reasons for manufacturing more mechanical movements in-house. It will also seek to strengthen its cooperation with its other partners in Switzerland and
The 19th of September marked the date of the opening of what is, without exaggeration, one of the most exciting horological events I can recall in a long time. Montres Breguet, and the Legion of Honor (one of the San Francisco Museums of Art) have partnered to create the exhibition, “Breguet: Art And Innovation in Watchmaking,” which presents over 80 watches, clocks, and instruments spanning a wide period in early Breguet production, including the most productive years of Breguet himself, as well as those of his son, Antoine-Louis. 1 OF 34 The exhibition was years in the making and planning, and is co-curated by Martin Chapman, the curator in charge of decorative European arts and sculpture for the Legion of Honor, and Emmanuel Breguet, curator of the Breguet Museum co-located with the Breguet boutique on the Place Vendôme in Paris (which we took you inside here). Works in the exhibition have been drawn from a number of sources, including the holdings of
I have a Hamilton pocket watch that was given me by my grandfather many years ago. The serial number of the movement (382582) I think indicates it was manufactured in 1904 or 1905.I accidentally broke off the filigree on the back of the minute hand (I had forgotten how to adjust the time and tried to do it by moving the hand manually - very bad idea!). I took it to a jeweler to have the hand replaced and because he could not duplicate the fancy filigree of the originals, he put "plain-Jane" hands in place of them. Another bad idea. I should have at least made him put the original hands back.Anyway, I have not been able to find anyone that has these hands, and several jewelers I have taken the watch to for rel=placement hands have not been helpful. These were black hands and very beautiful and I would like to get replacements, if at all possible. I haven't even been able to find a Hamilton watch that had these kind of hands to show what thery looked like.Does anyone have any sugge
Guys guys guys. Advice needed. I am being offered the jumbo for purists limited edition of 10. What do you guys think? It's a different metal and the dial is the same as the original. It's brand new. Advice please.
Can anyone help me find the search words or numbers for the new straps and ceramic deploy clasps that are on the new moon watches? I've found a strap or two like the pitch black and black black but haven't been able to find the clasp and the new parts regulations aren't helping since would rather not buy from boutique here.
