Breitling A1739102/BA80 wrist watches news:
It’s been 125 years since the Statue of Liberty ¡ª a gift from the French to the United States to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence ¡ª was first erected in New York Harbor. To commemorate the occasion, Romain Jerome has created a new watch, called Liberty DNA, whose dial contains actual fragments of the statue. The eight-year-old Swiss brand, based in Geneva, collaborated with The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation, a non-profit organization devoted to raising funds for restoration of the Statue and Ellis Island, and the Gold Leaf Corporation, which oversees the preservation and use of historic Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island artifacts, in developing the new timepiece, the latest in its “DNA of Famous Legends” portfolio. Issued in a limited edition of 125 pieces, the watch features a bronze bezel with 12 “spikes” reminiscent of those on Lady Liberty’s crown. Over time, the bezel will acquire a patina much lik
The 48 mm case of the new Graham watch is sculptured from stainless steel. The right-hand start / stop and reset pushers demonstrate "Clous de Paris" high-grip pattern. The bezel features a tachymeter scale. Domed sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective coating protects the dial. The transparent sapphire crystal case-back featuring Mercedes GP's logo allows to see the movement beating inside.
Hi all,So my so far absolutely great watch started doing a weird thing today. First of all, the chronometer stopped working. Nothing happens then I press the button. Second, the second dial, instead of moving every second, started freezing for a few seconds and then jumping ahead by those few seconds, so time is kept well, at leas for the past 12 hours.Something is definitely wrong, question is, can this be the battery dying or should I take it directly into service? All suggestions appreciatedThanks
I recently got into Longines watches. The other day I came across a watch I inherited that was my grandfather's only yo be happily suprised it was a Longines. The watch is very old, my estimate is about 70 years old. I've attempted to discover the model of the watch, but my research has turned up fruitless. Perhaps someone here can help me. The watch is 14K gold, with a square case. The dial appears to be a silver color with four diamonds at the 12, 3, 6 and 9 markers. The other markers are arrow-looking lines. Surrounding the markers are a set of approximately 6-8 lines running parallel to the case. The Longines logo is below 12 o'clock, and the name "LONGINES" is written below the logo. There are only hour and minute hands in silver. If this does not help determine the model and history of the watch, I'd be happy to send in a picture. Please let me know if you can help me.
I just recieved a new Bernhardt dive watch. It looks like it will prove to be exactly what i was wanting.I was looking for a dive watch that had at least 200 meter water resistance, was no bigger than 42mm, and NO date.I would like to have gotten a Rolex Submariner no date, but I wanted to stay below $500.00 if possible. The reason I did not want a date feature is because I wanted only the most basic features on the dial, to keep it clean and easy to read. Besides, I can't read the little bitty date that adorn most watches anyway. Have you ever tried reading a date on a watch under water? It's almost impossible. Why would you want to anyway? A date on a dive watch seemed ridiculous, especially since i couldn't read it to begin with.Like what? You're down on the bottom looking at a sunken ship, or taking photos, and you look at your watch and go, "Oh no! It's the 15th! I have a dentist appointment today! So you surface and take off to your appointment? Can anyone explain t
