- I'm a bit of a watch hog, and wanted a decent black/squared faced watch for business and travel. This fit the bill. Many compliments!

Roger Dubuis S 37 2639 8 wrist watches news:
I am considering the Big Crown Telemeter Chronograph, which has a plexiglass crystal.1. Has anyone had any experience with the model? Any comments would be appreciated.2. What has your experience with the plexiglass crystal (or plexiglass crystals in general) been? I would wear it primarily as a dress watch/work watch (I'm an office worker) so I wouldn't be very hard on it.3. I know that plexiglass crystals scratch easily, but can be polished easily. If it cracked somehow, would it need to be replaced with a replacement crystal from Oris, or is it something that most watchmakers could do with a generic plexiglass crystal of the correct size? Thanks!
Doesn't work, but winds fine.don't know anything about it...other tha it was a grandparents watch.
The only thing I've seen for certain is that it is a high-tech material. Any other plastic parts (assuming the escapement is)? Any reason to be concerned about it? They seem to advertise whatever the escapement is made of as an improvement. Opinions welcome, but facts are what I'd really like. As in "Tissot announced the material is ..." I bought one in spite of knowing the answers because I couldn't find them and love the design aesthetically. Is this just something that will take time for purists to accept? I remember when Glock came out with their first Model 17 many people referred to it as "that plastic gun" and it took a while to gain acceptance.
As this is my 500th post
As excited as you boys are for the arrival!!
