Gentlemen and ladies, if we have any as members here, I have just paid a social call to WTF's newest forum for Patek Philippe watches. Now, you know I love Hammies but I honestly believe I am suffering from PP (Patek Philippe) envy.Go visit and see what I mean.
I had some appointments downtown yesterday so while the wife and I were in town we decided to meet the son-in-law for lunch. While sitting I noticed he was wearing a stainless Rolex sub. Now that would not be unusual for him because both he and his wife wear nice jewelry and clothes. In fact he has some really nice other watches including a fairly new authentic stainless and gold Rolex sub.I wasn't wearing my glasses so I didn't notice anything but he then smiled and said it was fake, knowing that he wouldn't wear a fake in the past I asked what gives. His answer was that he works in a not so good part of town and if he were going to lose a Rolex he would rather it be this watch......................So I wonder what you guys think? If it were me and I were worried about something like that I would just wear a beater, but he says he likes the watch and doesn't really care since he does own a real one, hes not trying to fool anyone.......
How well do you guys think they hold up? I know the diver is relatively new, but I've seen some of those infamous earlier versions of the forged carbons from AP being absolutely worn out.I sold my 15300 a few months ago and have been looking for something a bit more refreshing and new in a sense. What do you guys think about the Carbon or ceramic diver? Or should I go with the normal stainless version? The only reservation I have about the carbon diver is my uncertainty about its quality and also if black would look good.Any suggestions?
Its my first modern Omega, and I have to say I am really impressed. The whole watch oozes class, way better than any foto can make it look, good weight and really heavy feel to the bracelet.I have it on a Nato at the moment as I don't really like the bracelet, a bit too bling. I have a mesh on the way.I was expecting it too be nice but not be blown away. I bought this to use as a daily beater, to be beaten, not worn at the office 9-5. I feel guilty about doing that now.Sorry about the quality of the foto!
