Breitling A1931012/G750BKCT wrist watches news:
Mechanical magic is a thing of wonder and myth. For centuries, artisans skilled with tools and gears have been engineering the impossible. Today, the hidden underbellies of machinery both large and small are mostly kept from plain sight in a society where mechanical things are no longer as interesting to most people. Today's most advanced machines operate on levels we cannot even view with our own eyes. Our phones and computers operate with almost no moving parts. The movement is based on microscopic energy moving around in cheaply made circuit boards. The modern era has removed the child-like enjoyment many of us receive from viewing how things work.In Switzerland things are a bit different. At least in the watchmaking regions of the country. There, an adherence to traditional mechanical watchmaking is both tradition and business. Keeping alive the savoir of machines helps the locals remember the history behind today's modern mechanical creations, and inspires those of us who are tick
As a man, my favorite collection of watches from Hermes has always been the Clipper. It has evolved a bit over the years, but has always been a very tasteful sport watches from a well-regarded luxury brand. I've always been drawn to Clipper watches not because of the Hermes name, but because of the design. They have always reminded me of instruments on fine ships. Gee, with a name like Clipper I am sure that this is hardly an accident. Funny how you can seem to almost never go wrong giving a watch some manner of boat or marine theme.Like Cartier, Hermes has recently been on a mission to assert itself as a serious watch maker, more than just a high-quality fashion brand. Even if they are just a high-quality fashion brand, that is fine. But there is more to the brand that just those people. The have some beautiful skeletonized watches, and other artistic creations (for example these Hermes tie pattern watches here). Also innovations and interesting things in the movement and mechanical d
I'm seriously considering an Emergency but I'm concerned about the robustness of it for use in the field.I'm not a fan of the is it safe to wear my watch threads but I have some genuine concerns and wonder what you guys think.I know that the Emergency was designed as a pilots/aircrew watch to transmit a distress signal on the civil aviation frequency. As such I guess it was designed to be tough enough to survive a crash which it's owner could survive but my worry is that I would use it primarily for mountaineering and, as such, would subject it to much more constant, sustained abuse.Do you think it could take the constant knocks? I mean that both in respect of it functioning as a watch and as a transmitter.I know the vast majority of these things are bought by people who would never conceivably need the transmitter but it is the ONLY reason I'm considering one. I know I could buy a better stand-alone transmitter and carry it with me (and that may be the option I end up going for) but I
Hi guys, just wanted to know if any of you had seen in real this watch?I am really attracted to it, of course I know the price is way up there at around 650-700K, so it's more in the impossible grail section but I find it very interesting, what are your thoughts? Always thought if one day I have the possibility to buy a grand complication I would get a minute repeater but this one is nice as I understand the movement is ultra thin, hell the steel model with just chrono is around 400K, for that price I would choose something else 5951_500P_001-5.png5951_500P_001-6.pngcaliber_CHR_27_525_PS_Q.pngcaliber_CHR_27_525_PS_Q-2.png
