- This watch has a sophisticated look to it. Although I haven't worn it long enough to determine its durability, I am quite pleased with its appearance, especially the face.

- I love the oval shape of the face. Although it has many crystals, it doesn't look over the top. Just what I was looking for. For the price alone, if you are thinking of buying it, buy it!

Breitling Steel wrist watches news:
Among the new offerings from Ralph Lauren at this year’s SIHH is the new Ralph Lauren Automotive Chronograph. Inspired by the instrument panel of Lauren’s legendary 1938 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic, this piece evokes the exotic yet purposeful aesthetic found in the cockpit of a car many regard as the finest gentleman¡¯s sport coupe of all time. Many great automobiles of the 1930s made lavish use of exotic materials for their interiors, yet the Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic Coupe stands apart. Its dashboard features beautifully grained wood and perfectly balanced, ultra-legible white-on-black instruments and gauges that instantly convey needed information. This dashboard inspired the new Ralph Lauren Automotive Chronograph. The dial¡¯s handmade wood dial accent is crafted from specially chosen loupe d¡¯orme, or elm burl wood, and it reflects the interior trim of the Type 57 SC¡¯s cockpit. To recreate the visual detail and impact of the automobile¡¯s instrument panel on the watch dial,
So i'm on my 2nd Rolex. My first was an 06 SS/Black Sub that I had no problems with. Recently I sold it back and upgraded to an 08 Two Tone/Black Sub. The first day I wore it, I noticed that the date would not change correctly. The date would only go half way at midnight and not complete its transition until 3 AM. I took the watch back to the store and they replaced it with another one. We checked it before I left the store and the date would switch over correctly at midnight.I wore the watch for 2 weeks straight before I locked it up in my safe and switched back to my Breitling Navitimer. I wore the Breitling for a week and decided switch back to the Sub. When I took the Sub out of the safe and set the time and date, the DATE DID THE SAME THING AS THE PREVIOUS ONE! It would only click half way at midnight and then complete the date transition around 3 AM.Has this happened to anyone else?!?!? My original 06 Sub NEVER had this issue. Did Rolex change something internal on the
I honestly can't decide because I love them both. Any opinions on which is better? Better movement? Exhibition backs? Pros and cons? Durability? Better conversation piece? Better looking? Functionality? It would be my first Hamilton so all opinions are welcome!ORI know it is purely everybody's opinion but I would like everyone's opinion
Well, the Snowmegeddon Blizzard is just about upon us in Illinois right now (20" of snow on the way) so I started a case restoration project that should keep me busy for a few days. This is a size 0s, Nickel, Star Watch Case from the late 1920's probably. It had VERY bad gouges on the case back that were nearly .5mm deep in some places and the rest of the case was almost as bad. I am in the opening stages of sanding it down with Emery Cloth, closed coat, fine black paper. As you can see from the pictures I have most of the major gouges removed right now but it's still very course and rough. Quite a bit of sanding by hand still must be done then I will switch over to extra fine paper for awhile then onto the machine to smooth everything out. You can get this aggressive with nickel, silverode, silveroid and stainless steel cases. No dice on gold filled cases though or you will have to pay for re-plating and that gets VERY expensive, around $250.00. That is why I love nickel! It's still w
I love my Panerai watches. It¡¯s nice to have a different case plus a different look. For example, I have a 112 (Luminor 44mm, no date, no seconds hand, sandwich dial) and a 514 (Radiomir, 50s style case, transition type model, 47mm, date and seconds). Very different watches. Both have rather flat sapphire crystals. I¡¯m going to get a 424 next - round crystal, classic Radiomir case/lugs and very different California dial. No date of course. What are your favorite combos?
