Over in this thread:WTF Ball Watch Contest! :DIf you haven't had a chance to send in your 20 answers to myself and BrianS via PM. Today and all day tomorrow (ending 12am Eastern time) is a great time to check out the quiz! Super stuff direct from our sponsors at Ball Watch USA!
My folks just got back from 5 weeks in Australia and south east Asia. My dad picked up this at a market in Asia for about $20 USD. It took me a second to figure out why the sub dials don't work, look closely and you will laugh like I did. The big second hand runs all the time, it is an auto, and the Tach units per hour bezel rotates like on a divers watch? Sorry, I removed pictures of the awful fake Daytona, I thought it was funny because it was so bad but others didn't think so.
One of my customers was wearing this the other day. I have got to say, this watch was just beautiful in person. I snuck this picture when he was chatting with someone else. I would have asked for a better shot, but this guy is way old school and I did not want to potentially offend him. Probably no big deal to you whales over here in the deep end of the ocean, but I was blown away and figured I would share.
Howdy all! I got my first Rolex - Sub Date - from my wife as a wedding present. Absolutely love it and I wear it anytime I¡¯m not sleeping! On our honeymoon, in the plenty of light that is French Polynesia, I noticed some markings on/under the crystal. I filled the sink with soapy water, took my toothbrush, and scrubbed away. Wouldn¡¯t come off. So, it would seem they¡¯re under the crystal. To my eyes, and it¡¯s admittedly a bit hard to tell in the attached picture, they look to be a light brown color which leads me to wonder if they¡¯re lubricant reside spots. I¡¯ve kept the crown screwed down the entire time I¡¯ve had it so it¡¯s not water damage. What do y¡¯all think? I¡¯ll be taking it in to the dealer this coming weekend to potentially send back to Rolex.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
Hi all, As the title states, was wondering if anyone has had any experience in replacing a clasp and how much the associated cost would be. I'm referring to an official Rolex quote at service, not including the actual service cost. For the record, I'm considering having the clasp of my 116520 replaced as the blades have become deformed and seems no watch maker will touch it. Thanks and hoping to receive insightful replies
