Bulgari AA 44 C 6 SGLD wrist watches news:
When I saw the watch on eBay, I instantly knew the lugs and the case were brassed. Looking at the case, you can see that if was worn daily, the lugs were going to wear. But I've seen that NOS , checker style dial on the bay for years and said that if I found the case, I would pull the trigger. To me, the dial is amazing, with a level of detail more akin to modern guilloche dials, at least IMHO ;) So not only is there a diamond/checkboard effect, the brushed vs. not brushed diamonds give it a two tone effect. Add to that, the metal ball (what is the term for it?) minute markers and well, at least I was in love Plus, you kind of have to like the lugs as well. So, anyway, I replaced the old dial with the NOS one. Shined the case up as best I couldit looks fine from the wearer's viewand I put it on a brown sharkskin leather band.
So, I have to admit that I am a complete embarrassment and a fool that I had no clue about the Royal Oak and ROC line until 2017 (And I call myself a watch collector??). After seeing my boy Howie's 26300 blue, I was completely mesmerized by the case, super fine details, the gorgeous blue and was just blown away. While I am a few years late to the party, it is better late than never. I was lucky enough to source both 15300St and 15202 Jumbo and wow... they are just superb pieces and so enjoyable in their own ways. I probably will wear both for a while and see which one jives better and stays. So far, I prefer the thickness and bracelet of 15300 but the darker shade of blue on the 15202 dial is just absolutely sexy. Yes, the cal 2121 movement is awesome to check out too.2 new (late) entrants into the collection that have pushed all the Rolex aside and yes, blue is the new black
back on my wrist after service for a broken balance beam.gonna try to keep it from hitting my bathroom floor.
I don't mean to start a ruckus on the forums, but has anyone else heard about the 38mm DJ rumors? I also heard that the 36mm will be discontinued in favor of the 38mm. Yes, I'm completely serious!
I¡¯ve done a search but I haven¡¯t found any relevant information. I want to get a 28mm TT Datejust, possibly with diamonds on the dial. I want to buy new as I¡¯m planning to have this one and only watch for many years to come. It¡¯s difficult for me to get to the CBD but I do live in Sydney. I have been planning on making a day trip to the few ADs in Sydney, but I thought I should get some advice on what to expect with regards to stock levels before getting my hopes up. Additionally, I have family in Hong Kong, and my parents will be going there later this month. As far as I know the prices aren¡¯t so different especially with our exchange rate- but if it¡¯s way easier to get what I want over there I¡¯m tempted to just ask my parents look into it for me (obviously I would prefer to physically buy it myself but I should take this opportunity if it¡¯s really difficult to get what I want here). Thanks!
