Bremont Mustang P-51 Watch
There was a relative I had when I was a kid who saved up for years to buy something special. He was an unusual fellow, but he loved to fly. He worked hard to get a pilot's license and then was finally able to buy what he had his eye ona World War 2 era P-51. One of the greatest dog fighters ever, the P-51 Mustang is an American fighter plane that was introduced in 1940 - and he wanted one really badly.As a kid I wasn't really sure how to respond to the ex-military plane in front of me. Some guys want a vintage American muscle car, and others watch a plane with the same cojones. That was my first memory of a P-51, but to Nick and Giles English of Bremont, it means something else. The British aviation themed brand brings us a limited edition watch dedicated entirely to American and English superiority over the skies. Am I Crazy for Liking the Moon to Mars Edition?
Just picked one up - seems the consensus on these is that they're not particularly cared for among Speedy enthusiasts.I'm not necessarily a purist, but I like keeping things original, generally speaking. The watch came like this from the factory, so I'm fine with it.Mine in particular has a nice reddish hue to the Mars subdial, which I like better than some of the other pictures I've seen.I think the piece is super neat. Am I alone in this thought process?

Ok, here we go, Ruud Van Indecisive strikes again. I was passing the OP boutique and it was rude not to call in for a mooch. I guess I want to be sure before pulling the trigger on my final PAM. My man pulled out a couple of divers and my eye was really caught by the 389 and 615. The added bonus of these references is the ceramic bezel; personally, I would avoid the new 692 on the basis of a non-ceramic bezel. I like the quirkiness of the Flyback but it bothers me not having a date. In comes the 389, which has a date. I would love either of them and both are very different to what I already have. The 389 is about S$8,000 cheaper (GB¡ê4,500, US$5,600), which is a factor but no deal breaker. What puts me off the 615 is the significant extra service cost and the possibility of the chrono hands becoming misaligned over time. Anyhoo, what you guys think? Firstly, can I pull off a 47mm diver and which one looks the business?
