Cartier W2601956 wrist watches news:
I would like to share with you all my absolute pleasure in becoming a Rolex owner again. In my 16 years of watch collecting I have owned a non-date Sub for 7 years, an Explorer II for 3 years and an LV Sub for 6 years.I think I will be owning this perfect realisation of a true iconic timepiece for a lot longer than all of these put together. This truly is a keeper because I could not think of anything else I would do to improve the Submariner, although the jury is still out about the ROLEX engraving on the inner bezel.Well done Rolex for listening to your customers and updating the elements of the Submariner that were needed for it to remain at the pinnacle of Divers timepieces. The Cerachrom bezel, blue lume, new micro-adjustable clasp and maxi dial are all aesthetically pleasing and practical improvements.I've been following all the details of this brilliant new addition to the Rolex catalogue on this very forum since last year's announcement and I could not be happier now that I have
I was with q buddy of mine the other day and he was wearing a 5056p , could anyone recommend a fairly priced place to source it ?
I have seen a few watches like this listed on eBay recently:cgi.ebay/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=200391963400Having a look at the dial I could only see "Record" on it, no mention of Longines. Why was it being called a Longines, then?It seems that Record was founded in 1903. Longines acquired Record in 1961 but the company did not survive the quartz crisis and was wound up in 1991. After buying Record, some watches were branded as Longines-Record and some Record calibres were renamed as Longines calibres. It seems that some sellers will list Record watches as Longines products to increase the price. But in reality Record remained an independent company that was owned by Longines.
Hey guys !I have some questions about a 10k solid gold ladies Hamilton Joyce. This watch belonged to Tiffany's Mother who passed almost four years ago now. With Christmas coming up soon I thought that it would be a good idea to get it up and running for her, the holidays are still rough on her sense her Mother has passed. This is a 17 jewel 10k Hamilton Joyce, cosmetically it needs minimal work, case is good, crystal is good, band is good. The dial is just a tad dirty but I can clean it up like new fairly easily. Is this the correct original dial & hands ? ? ?The 17 jewel Hamilton 751 movement has some issues though. It has a winding/setting issues and a broken mainspring. These ladies movements are a dime a dozen and it can be replaced for far less than it would cost to repair the movement. What other ladies Hamilton movements can be used for this case? 721, 757, 750, 780 ? ? ?The replacement movement must have the same dial feet locations as this original 751, I want to use the same dial
I purchased a Seamaster Chrono (2225.80) back in May. Over the last month I noticed that it only holds power for 8-10 hours. So basically I take it off my wrist at night and by mid morning, it's dead. This is pretty ridiculous as my Rolex can last for 2-3 days and when I bought the seas master, it was not this bad. I e-mailed Omega so I am going to see what they say. I have never damaged the watch...the movement/internals...the bezel I had replaced due to damage.Anyone have any ideas or thoughts.
