- It's a great watch and looks great on my husband. It didn't come with an instruction manual, but it's not rocket science to set the date and time. Highly recommended duct.

This will probably be my first and only request for help here, so all input appreciated. I'm not averse to doing my own searches/research, I'm just not sure what I have here. This watch was new around 1985-1990, and I believe came from JCPenneys in the $200 price range at the time. I don't have the tools to open it up (is the serial/model number on the caseback not the same as the one that might be inside?) Marked "422331" and "7N43-8119" (I'm the only one who's ever had this watch so I know it's the original caseback). There are two small markings on the back, too small to photograph, that read "S1001[small square symbol]I" (or perhaps "I[symbol]1001S").Condition is fair/OK, normal wear/scratches but no gouges. It ran fine last I knew, needs a battery but was wondering if the watch is worth even that much investment. I'm unemployed and craigslist has been my friend, just hoping for a ballpark valuation for a quick but fair local sale. Thanks, WTF.-Peter
It ain't a Hamilton, it ain't a Bulova, it even ain't an Elgin but heck, it's an automatic, it runs and it's old(ish)!I think it's from the 70's or late 60's, plastic face but the dial is still nice and it runs like a dream! I need to give it a good cleaning, but it might be a nice little beater watch I could wear to work or something. Now, funny story. When I was digging around in a yardsale the other day, the lady who was hosting it came up and started idle chat. When I pulled our the Timex, the immediately took it and started saying nonsense like "Vintage art-deco style" and "incredibly rare to find' blah blah blah. Anyway, after listening to her little schpeil I finally got to talk her into me buying it for 1$. Anyway, I'm sure someone out there has a Timex and likes it, so don't be afraid to say so!
Hi ristis!just throwing an idea out there to see where it may go. so i have a pam112 and MAYBE looking to get a 2nd pam.im leaning towards panerai than other brands because pam have different cases as say compared to rolex where sub looks the same as gmt.im thinking of getting a radiomir. i still like the manual wind because it can maintain the thinner case.i have narrowed down to pam 292 (ceramic), pam 337 (42mm)i have also tried on the 372 though it is beautiful, there is no way i can pull off 47mm such a shame.i could get another luminor but i would like a dress watch this time.am i missing something? how bout other brands? exp1?taking my sweet time now.
I am happy to share that we took a call from Rolex/Tudor over in Harrods late this afternoon offering one of the Harrods BBs,,,,,rare to get a call from an AD in this part of the world,,, After a nice chat this morning which I posted in the long term Harrods bb thread to then be offered a numbered piece is a huge and welcome surprise so I be off in a couple of days to pick her up,,, Still in shock,,,
