Oris 645.7629.4061.LS wrist watches news:
At Baselworld 2013 we gave you an exclusive hands-on look at the Swatch Sistem51, the 51-component mechanical watch completely assembled by machine. Since then, we have been asked regularly "when will I be able to buy one?" Well, today your wait is over (kind of). The Sistem51 is officially launching in the United States today with a pop-up shop at Swatch's Times Square store in New York City, with a second location appearing in San Francisco later this month. Here are all the details about how to get your hands on this $150 Swiss-made marvel. 2 OF 4 Before we get into where you can buy one, here's a quick refresher on the Sistem51. As the name suggests, it has only 51 components including the mechanical movement. Everything is held together by a single central screw and the entire package is put together by machine ¨C even the balance is regulated by machine. The movement is made of an anti-magnetic alloy called ARCAP, has 19 jewels, and boasts a 90 hour power reserve. Pl
I've been going back and forth with the idea of buying either a 2231 or a 2254 and I got some great feedback from many of you here. As I was reading various posts about these watches I found some people who made modifications to their watches. Such as adding a white gold bezel, changing a dial etc. So I called some authorized repair shops and some shops that work on Omegas just to ask them if a black 2254 bezel will fit on a 2231. Nobody would tell me yes or no. Some said they had to have the watch and the bezel before they could tell me if it would work. I understand that some will not do this because it's modifying the original watch, I get that. But aren't the watch dimensions something that is known or can be looked up somewhere. All I want is a yes or no answer. Is this secret inside info? Thanks for any helpBezelplease forgive any errors I send this from my phone
I'm pretty sure I'd go with a black strap on a black dial dress watch, but what about a field watch? Photos if you've got 'em. If you think brown, would you go dark, light, medium, honey, tan, etc.?Thanks for opinions and/or photos.
Had a chance to try this on at the Galleria in Houston. They are rotating the country and was fortunate to catch them when they hit H-town for two days. This watch is incredibly beautiful and amazingly well balanced. Omega also managed to keep the thickness down, about a 1/4 less thickness than my old PO 8500 from what I can feel on my wrist dyno. I love the pcls and the artificial patina. The clean no date dial is so classy and it's vintage appeal shines through. The size feels just right, about the same as a SubC but a just bit thicker with more presence and solid weighty feel. The movement winds silky smooth and the bezel operation was solid with smooth but pronounced clicks. My favourite was the Sedna gold model obviously but to rich for my budget, secondly the tt was stunning but the third place winner and the one I'll likely buy is the ss version. Here are a few pics of the ss and sedna gold models. Released dates could not be confirmed but around Xmas seems to be the best bet. Why
I've been attracted to Panerai for some time now. Something about them that I can't explain. I keep looking at them. I've been doing some window shopping and the 233,321, and 499 sing to me. Any suggestions for my first Panerai piece?
