- I like the way this watch looks , but I found the clasp in the back awkward since it was a 2 part clasp. Also, the watch surround is so shiny, I knew I would be constantly wiping smudges off, so I have returned it.

Cartier W69010Z4 wrist watches news:
So I dug up my Dad's old Seiko that he gave me and snapped some pics for fun:Here's what I know about it:-My Mom bought it as a wedding present in July 1971-Front says:SEIKOautomaticDX17 JewelsAt the bottom of the dial, barely readable, it says JAPAN 6106-6019P (last letter could possibly be R)-Caseback says:SEIKO6106-6007074106-Strap says:Hong Kong100% stainless steelKreisler-When I shake it it runs fine, and although the bracelet is a little too small which keeps me from wearing it for a whole day, it has been keeping time for the past few minutes I've had it out. This is somewhat impressive, as I seriously doubt that it has been serviced or opened for the past 40 years.I'm interested to see if anyone knows anything about it or how much it may be worth (not that I would sell it). Also as a side note, how much would it cost to give it a service? I think at some point I will be obliged to give it a tune up, as it is a family heirloom. Thanks for looking!
Coming to the end of the year again. Have not been posting much, but I do check in. Can't say I've bought anything as I am kinda satisfied with where I am with watches right now. SO I guess I'm just giving everyone an early "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" greeting. May you all find peace and satisfaction in all your New Year endeavors.
I've never bought a watch used before, and have been eyeing a new Datejust 116200. However, the more I research, the more and more I like the Explorer 114270 (36 mm). What is a fair price for one of these in good condition? What types of questions should I be asking and/or signs I should be aware of as I'm researching the purchase?Cheers!
I have the day off and I am watching Leaving Las Vegas I forgot about the scene where Nicholas Cage walks into a pawn shop takes off his watch the guy says 500 Cage turns to the guy next to him and says:500 dollars for a 93 Rolex Daytona...I'll do it
What watch Steve McQueen would wear if he were alive today and just hitting his prime as an actor?Sorry but I forgot the poll. Must have celebrated too much last night.
