Cartier W7100016 wrist watches news:
hi all, I just bought my first Patek, a new 5712/1A after a very long time on the waitlist...To my surprise, I realised that the watch lost 2 minutes within the first month even if the power reserve was always full. I monitored this this closely and when I kept it on my wrist 24/7, it lost 20 secends in a week. Is this the common loss for a watch without a tourbillon? When I took it to the seller, he said that I should never sleep with it and then explained that I should leave it on my bedside in a certain position (dial facing down) so that the watch gains in the evening what it loses in the day. he said that this is very common and that I should not be worried about it.As I am new to this world, these explanations seem a bit odd to me. He said the alternative is to send it to the PP atelier but it could take a long time for them to look at it.Any views on this pls? Is it better not to sleep with your watch? is the 20 sec per week normal? Many thanks
Last but not least. Here is my new Seiko Automatic SRP013K1 "Military" with the 4R16A day/date movement.I love this watch! (don't mind the date as I had not set it yet):I really like the "Havana" color in the dial. Works nicely with the big numbers and red 24 hour scale. Also notice the applied markers. Lume is present in dot markers for the 12, 3, 6 and 9 positions in the dial. The hands are lumed as well but not the tip of the seconds hand (I think)The day/date (English/Spanish) quickset feels solid and it is smooth as buttaThe Seiko "Calf" brown leather band looks and feels the part. Very comfortable. The clasp is stainless steel pin and buckle system. Love the white stitching that gives it a very sporty look:Love the side profile of the polished case:And here is the best part of this watch. The Seiko 4R16A movement:I am a huge fan of these 4R movementsFinally, the Hardlex crystal is thick and domed:Really nice piece and highly recommended.
Having just sold my Breitling Navi World (I could not tell the time the dial was so busy) I picked up my new PO today here in Santa Monica from my AD. Should have gotten this watch before the Breitling, better late then never however.
Hey Guys ...Last week I was in Dubai and I passed by the nice PP Boutique located in Dubai Mall. Was quite surprised to see the new and very beautiful 5940G with black dial. What do you think, guys?.
My first 47mm Panerai! Love the clean minimalistic look - embossed text, sandwich dial, hexagon hands, raised plexiglass, and all in a properly sized case. What more can one ask for from Panerai? Well maybe a longer minute hand This might just be a keeper and become my first and last Luminor!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
