Happy 240th Birthday to the USMCNov. 10th 1775- Nov. 10th 2015 I'd like to say "Semper Fi" to my fellow Marines, from the past & to the present day!Ooh Rah,Jim
So, I travel quite a bit for work, and am only home for a few days before I am away for months at a time. I got home yesterday, and the wife and kid had two presents for me, early Fathers Day gifts, since I might not make it home before then. A Seiko Orange Monster, and a Tag Formula 1. Not a bad day.
I was at a beer festival this weekend and litterally stumbled into my next time piece. It(at the time)seems to seemlessly join two of my favorite hobbies. BEER and Watches. You'll have to excuse the photos.......I was at a beer fest. and these were taken from my phone. Yes, that flip-up face over the dial is a bottle opener.I may have one on order by the end of the week. Of course your not buying this for the movment. It would be cool to see what could be done with this besides it's main purpose. the fact that it tells time is just a bonus.Would this be an Homage to a bottle opener?
Hey guys I am truly in love with the Charcoal dial version of this watch. I do have a couple questions however? I know Pateks hold their value better than most but I am sure that different models vary. I wouldn't want to drop all that cash on a model that may not hold better than others. In terms of collect-ability I am guessing this model will be too common in terms of appreciation. I have never sold a watch from my collection but I guess its more a piece of mind thing to know the perceived depreciation to expect. Is their a better complicated Nautilus to consider for the money? What type of % off of retail can I expect for BNIB? I have seen them in the 20% off range in the for sale section? Please correct me if i am wrong. Thank you for your answers, I know there are some Patek super collectors on this forum who's opinion and taste I greatly appreciate. Before I considered this watch I had a plan of 2-3 watches with this money but I think most would agree to just go for the kill and
I¡¯m curious, a friend of mine just purchased a two tone Sky Dweller with the blue dial. I thought the blue dial only came with SS/white gold? Did Rolex ever made one?
