Cartier w7100040 wrist watches news:
I don't know how many times I've admitted this, but I dream of being a vintage Audemars Piguet collector. The watches are so rare, so beautiful, so special, and until recently, completely under the radar. Now they are getting a little more attention – and a great triple calendar chronograph just sold for serious money at Christie's Geneva – but that doesn't mean the world at large has taken notice. And that is why I am writing this article today. A truly world-class watch is coming up for sale next week, and I want to make sure the collecting world at large takes note. It's an Audemars Piguet, from the 1950s, with a full perpetual calendar, two-tone dial, and leap year indicator. It is one of nine ever made, and it just might be the best watch for sale this season. 1 OF 6 Reference 5516 was made in nine examples, six of which feature the moonphase at 6 o'clock. What makes the 5516 so special? First, the rarity. The watch was made i
I came across this on the Omega Web site and fell off my chair when i checked the price in the Omega price list. Its a Platinum Deville Tourbillion 18 pieces made and costs a cool ?200,910 ($306,359)...... but wait for it there's another version only 10 pieces (no photo) costing ?241,480 ($368,222). Now wheres my plastic
Looking for a way to keep my straps organized. I prefer Deployants - and I like to leave the buckles on. Now that I bought a couple inexpensive Panatime buckles, I'm a) hoping they work well and b) still not planning to remove the buckle even though they come off a little easier than the OEM.I'd like a nice leather - or possibly other material - organizer for say 6 straps. Can folks post their favorite brand of storage solution? Thanks
About a month ago i got myself a new TT daytona (116503) at the rolex Butique. It was a impulsive purchase but don't get me wrong it is a beautiful watch to own and wear. Today i passed trough a rolex Butique and decided to take a look just to kill some time, when i saw and tried on the rose gold Day-date 40 in olive green dial, I completely fell in love. Im now thinking of selling my most recent daytona to partially help me fund this day-date. After asking for opinions from friends and family if i should keep or replace my daytona let me just say its 50/50, and its very hard for me to decide. Let me just clarify that i am a casual dresser, 28 years old and not in office environment where i need to be formally dressed. I work from home and I just want a cool watch i can wear with t-shirt and jeans :) what are your opinions? Should i go for it? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Saw this today:https://.hodinkee/articles/ta...gs-really-meanhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_...tches_standardSo:Shock resistance. This is tested by two shocks (one on the 9 o'clock side, and one to the crystal and perpendicular to the face). The shock is usually delivered by a hard plastic hammer mounted as a pendulum, so as to deliver a measured amount of energy, specifically, a 3 kg hammer with an impact velocity of 4.43 m/s. The change in rate allowed is ¡À60 seconds/day.Resistance to salty water. The watches under test shall be put in a 30 g/l NaCl (sodium chloride) solution and kept there for 24 hours at 18 to 25 ¡ãC. This test water solution has salinity comparable to normal seawater. After this test, the case and accessories shall be examined for any possible changes. Moving parts, particularly the rotating bezel, shall be checked for correct functioning.Do they really expect to see any changes to the Rolex or any watch for slat water after 24 hours? not sure, just curious
