I saw this on the Swamp last night. I actually like the case. But I can't identify it.Swamp seller photoIs this a Franken-jobber? Mark S.
Don't get me wrong, I'll buy automatic watches day in and day out but my second choice seems to be the Seiko kinetic movement. I like the way they have combined the mechanical charging system with the quartz movement. This most recent acquisition is the Seiko Sportura Kinetic 200 Meter Diver Model SKA511.Polished stainless steel 43 mm case with brushed accent areas.14mm thick with sapphire crystal and screw in solid case back.Stainless steel bracelet with fold over safety clasp and diver's extension.Screw down crown and power reserve button.Black dial with red minute hand with lume, white hour hand with lume, white second hand with the traditional lume dot at the short end, lume filled markers at all hour positions, a lume pip on the bezel at the 0/60 top position, and a date display between 4 and 5.It wears very well. Thanks for looking.
The main reason was to celebrate my wife's 40th and our 10 year wedding anniversary. So it was essentially food, a show, and lots of shopping for four days!!Stayed at the luxurious Mandarin Oriental and saw the spectacular performance stage show of Celine Dion @Ceasars. Got to run into lots of watch stores while my wife was shopping. She didn't know!!! LolI also didn't want to offend too many security guys just going about their jobs standing by store fronts, so when possible I asked to photograph displays :)Many of the sales reps gave me catalogues and offered for me to try on whatever I wanted to :)In hindsight I would have loved to get a wristshot of the blingi-est watch in the Hublot boutique! I've never seen so many errr...colorful be-jeweled watches before. The winner of most spectacular watch store (horology/quality) I visited, was the Wynn & Company. Sampled several Langes there and had great watch talk with Charlie, who told me about his tour of the Lange factory. B

That's right, boys and girls. I've got timepieces from Patek that allows for split seconds chronograph functionality - the ability to time two events simultaneously. No, it's not the 5004 or the 5204. I cannot afford either of those pieces. So, instead, I present my innovative split seconds chronograph - dual face watch, yellow gold and platinum, both with silver dials. For the first event I click the top pusher on the platinum, and for the second event I click the top pusher on the yellow gold. Voila!
